Laptop or PC?

Jayden.Viv

Hi I'm tossing up whether to get the msi ge60 Apache pro, or guild a pc. They are the same price, I want you're opinion. Is the laptop worth it with the price and specs? Or stick to pc?

PC

I was going to get the pc, but being portable is really good in my opinion.

Please help

The PC shits on the laptop in every possible way except mobility. If mobility is really an option you could get mini-ITX and take that to LAN parties with you and such

RIG: I7-4790k @ 4.5GHz | MSI Z97S SLI Plus | 12GB Geil Dragon RAM 1333MHz | Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970 (1550MHz core/7800MHz memory) @ +18mV(Maxed out at 1650/7800 so far) | Corsair RM750 | Samsung 840 EVO 120GB, 1TB Seagate Barracuda | Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 (Closed) | Sound Blaster Z                                                                                                                        Getting: Noctua NH-D15 | Possible 250GB Samsung 850 Evo                                                                                        Need a console killer that actually shits on every console? Here you go (No MIR/Promo)

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861

If mobility is a must, I would get something with a gtx 970m or 980m.

Recent games -- LoL, FO4, TESV, XCOM 2, Life is Strange, Overwatch, Ark, Total War Attila, Hearthstone.  <(^^,)>

Do you want to be mobile or not?  After you figure that out then that will be your answer.  The pc will be way better then the laptop but first figure out what you want.

Nope thats the downside of laptops, the only thing you can upate is the ram and storage, nothing else.

Usually it's not an option. Only RAM and storage are commonly upgradeable. Get a laptop with 970m or 980m and it should be fine for som time

Only get a laptop if you really need the mobility for school, work or whatever. If you want something you can bring to LAN parties, just build an ITX pc in a Corsair 380T, Bitfenix Prodigy or whatever.
