I would not reccomend getting any SLI/Crossfire configuration because of frame latency issues and the fact that SLI/Crossfire scaling is not perfect. Get one very powerful card and be happy with that. Plus power requirements go through the roof.

It says "get ANOTHER" 670, you could sell the one you ALREADY have and buy 2 770's.

He probably said that makes no sense because Two gtx 770 would cost over his budget of around 500

Get the 770 any version but the 770 lightening is the BOSS.

A water-cooled mid-tier gaming PC.

you're going to regret getting a GK104 when games really start utilizing your GPU in november/december of this year. If you want a true next gen card  with real performance difference get a 780, otherwise just stick to what you have,  sli with cheap used 670 or by your father a really nice father's day gift :)

Get another gtx 670 ftw. It will be cheaper and will perform as good as a gtx 690.

SLI is way over 100 times better then crossfire. Their scaling in many game is over 70%. The person would have more fps is about everything if they went for the SLI configuring.

Considering a gtx 690 is two gtx 680 sli i think that may not be the case. I would beat the titan but it would deify logic if the two 670s were better then two 680s.

A gtx 670 ftw has the reference pcb as a gtx 680 and is clocked enough to reach it so basically with two of them in sli would reach or be extremely similar to a gtx 690.

Well no doubt about then the gtx 670 isnt worth upgrading. Until any classified or ftw comes out at least.

A gtx 770 would be more of a sidegrade or a slight upgrade. Get another gtx 670 ftw and wait for the 800 series.

Can't you sell your 670 for like 300$ and get 2 770's? if ur budget is 500, 300+500= 800, and theres tons of 770's for 400$ each, but otherwise if you don't want to get another 670 I suppose
