Which Monitor for XB1 + TV/Movies + Casual

GWWW

Hi Everyone,

I am looking to buy a monitor for under $300. It's primary use will be for Xbox One Gaming (Halo and the sorts), Television and Movie Viewing, and also to connect with my MacBookPro.

Here are the leaders in the clubhouse:

1) ASUS MX279H (http://www.amazon.com/MX279H-27-Inch-Screen-LED-Lit-Monitor/dp/B00B17C5KO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1414348155&sr=8-1&keywords=mx279h)

2) ASUS VS278Q-P (http://www.amazon.com/VS278Q-P-Ultrafast-27-Inch-LED-Lit-Monitor/dp/B009HNEBLK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1414348171&sr=8-1&keywords=asus+vs278q-p)

3) BenQ RL2455 (http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=BenQ)

Right now I am favoring the ASUS MX279H.  All of the reviews look amazing.  Though not many of them discuss gaming.  The idea of a 27'' sounds more appealing than a 24''. It has an average lag time of 09ms according to displaylag.com, but it does have that 5ms, which is throwing me off since everyone is always talking about the need for 1ms.

Thoughts?  Any of these clearly better than the rest?  Am I looking in the wrong direction?

CLEARLY im not very knowledgable when it comes to this stuff.  I understand PC gaming > Console Gaming. I'm just looking for sound advice from people who know this stuff.

Thank you, It is so very much appreciated.

I'd have to go with the MX. The colours are going to be very accurate and it will also have great viewing angles. The VS would be a decent choice if you are planning to game on a high end PC not to far into the future. The 144hz refresh rate on the VS just wont be of any benefit if you're only gaming on a console because they'll only be putting out 30 or 60 fps.

Response time is more of a marketing thing, for 144hz a low response time like 1ms is pretty important but for a 60hz panel it really doesn't matter if you've got a 2ms monitor or a 5ms monitor. Besides, most people you'll be playing against will be using normal TVs which have response times that are much higher. Not to mention input lag is more important than response time.
