my nana has a laptop currently but she had a desktop for over 10 years for emailing and stuff.

my grandparents on the other side have 2 laptops as well.

My maternal grandmother died in 1988, and my maternal grandfather had an Olivetti typewriter (I have it now). My paternal grandparents can barely deal with mobile phones, and think computers are useless and evil.

My grandmother has a Toshiba Satellite 15" something something running 8.1, uses it all the time.

She knows how to do more on it than my mother would.

My 74 year old grandfather got an iPhone 5C about a week ago. He can use it better than my mom can use her iPhone 4S she got two years ago.

Dude. My Grandparents use a pentium 2 with 128MB of ram on a 1024 768 CRT..... >.> and DSL. They havnt aged well.

My grandparents only just dropped the good old crt's a small while back and still record things onto vhs. So short answer no, they don't use a computer.

As far as I know, none of my Grandparents ever used a computer. My last Grandparents passed away a year ago aged 87, she had a DVD player and a HDTV but no computer.

One set of grandparents uses an all in one that was designed to run Vista.

 

The other set has a Pentium III computer that they have only turned on about 5 times.

My grandparents don't. No computer or smart phones for them.

 

My father has no interest in using a computer or smart phone (he gets mad when he has to use an ATM) but my mother does a passable job of using a computer and smart phone. The really interesting thing is that my mother-in-law is terrible at using a computer but is actually really competent using her smartphone.
