On 24/7 or Power Off

I always have my pc on 24/7.  I don't pay utilities renting an apartment so I don't have worries about an electricity bill but I will say that I shut off everything else I can even when some people would leave lights on or other things.  At night when I head to bed ... sometimes ... I also need my pc on as I use it for my alarm clock.  I have used regular plug in alarm clocks before and they just were not loud enough.  Trust me with my pc alarm it is extremely loud and gets you out of bed. 

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

I've turned it off to clean it and windows forces a shutdown for updates, but other than that it's always on and has been since I built it.

I power off at night and if I know I'm not going to use it for a while during the day I put it to sleep
