Is it safe to install Windows with a CPU OC?

I currently have my CPU OC'd, modestly but I don't want to do the whole process of OC, monitor, stress, OC, monitor, stress, etc.. again

I'm going to uninstall Windows, and install a new version of 8.1. Should I keep my OC or go back to default settings when I go to install Windows 8.1?

Bios OC of course

as long as your overclock was stable before, then there will be no problem re-installing windows :)

worst case if it was unstable is you would get an install error. No hardware damage would occur.

install windows,  yes (be prepared to format if it goes south)

 

flash bios, no (be prepared to RMA if it goes south) (some mobos have decent options to recover (namley ASUS) from this event)

You can always set it to stock during install and then back to settings you had before. If mobo supports OC profiles, that should be really easy and simple.
