THE GREEN MACHINE

Woodypc

Hello Everyone, I have finally finished by build to upgrade my Rig.

If you have eagle eyes you may have noticed little clues on posts I have made, so lets begin.

Last Year I updated my PC with a lot of new components and Water cooled the CPU, and upgraded to 2 HD6850 in crossfire.

I still has some more water cooling gear left over that I got in a bundle I scored, so when I saw a HD7950 on special I garbed it and then the madness happened. However as I like in New Zealand and had to order thing in from overseas the build ended up costing me an arm 'n' a leg lol. :(

Specs for the PC are in my Signature.

He is a picture of the PC before I upgraded it. (Sorry about the quality on this one camera be crazy)

Here is the Pump all nicely sleeved.

Theses taps are great, one turn and it is all empty. 7950 is in there for a test before being WC.( Note you should always test the Hardware be fore water cooling it)

p5130242.jpg

Everything striped out.

Thanks. Yeh the lights a made a lot worse by the camera, I am no camera expert so the pics are not the best.

The pump is there because it seamed the best place to put it and I had to move things around a lot to make the build work.

Very very nice build there mate!

Good work on the cable sleeving, and from that picture, looked like a lot of fun... :D

One thing is that I thought the 990fx Sabertooth came with the thermal armour but I guess I'm wrong.

Is this the real life? Or is this just fantasy?

i think it's because the light are so bright the camera screwed it up, i have the same problem with my led strips.

but now you lost like 2 expansion slots on your mobo because of the pumps location.

on the other hand the tubing runs are nice and short.

I don't need them and if I xfire ill move the pump down and have worked out the measurement so it will fix. Also BTW the led strip is now in the front and supposed to look cool but they don't look right yet so not pugged in yet.

Yeh I know was originally going to use a green c70 was a military style build with the Sabertooth  but then I got the 2*360 rads and needed a cheapish case that would fit them. It is a bit ironic dut the are so many red and blue builds and the green just look cool my old build using the Antec 902 was blue so needed a change. But everything is green even the PSU striker is green and the copper on the RAM heat sinks looks cool to.

Awesome build, very clean and nice colour scheme. Only things I would change are the bright LEDs and I'd use green coolant

The leds in the first build before they were removed were a bit bright with the panel off but they have been moved now. I did not use green coloured coolant and just went with green tubing as from doing research I decided no matter which way you colour the coolant it always breaks down and starts to clog the water blocks so I just opted to use distiled waster and a kill coil. The only way you can tell is the ress but when lit with the fan leds and the C Cathodes it looks good anyway.

Looks great with the green. Not the most common color scheme, yet one of the coolest imo. :)

Thanks. Yeh I am getting a bot sick of the blue and red builds, every one likes those colours and I wanted something different.
