I absolutely LOVE their new cooler design for these 900 series GPUs.  They'll keep that chip super cool!

 

Would be an upgrade from my aging 650 Ti

The ZOTAC GTX 970 AMP  Omega is amazing, Meybe the best Grafic Card of the world (quality price ratio) but the 980 Extreme, lucks fabulous and have a great coller design. 

I'm really surprised with the quality of the Zotac products.

As a part-time video developer/producer, and self-proclaimed gearslut I really look forward to new tech! Always a fan of higher quality AA filters and definitely want to see the performance limits that a beast like the 980 can push!

 

Also, can't argue with beefy obnoxiously futuristic design.

The lightining in the extreme is gorgeous, this is the best looking graphic card I've ever seen. I'll love to add this to the PC build I am planning for christmas since I'm kind of new in PC Gaming

Both look great, however the 2x8pins as opposed to 2x6pins could be a turn off depending on your psu.

I think the design of the extreme looks slick, the two fans on the side with the light strip running across remind me a of a motorcycle somehow. Also lights

I like the 900 series because Nvidia didn't just focus on raw performance, they took power consumption and efficiency, as well as overclocking into their considerations.
