Triple monitor gaming

PhiXioNz

Hey guys.

I am planning to use a triple monitor setup (I have 2 gtx's so they should handle it well).

I already have a 144hz 24' 1080p screen but it is too expensive for me to buy 2 more. Can I also buy 2 60hz 24' 1080p monitors? Will it work?

Yes. That will work. Though your 144Hz monitor will be limited to 60FPS.

But, what GPUs do you have. (GTX is not a specific GPU)?

It will work, but you will have 60hz across the board; to utilize the 144hz you need 3 144hz monitors, but as for the GPU's - what are they?

While GTX is Nvidia's gaming line of graphics card, it doesn't necessarily mean they will be suitable for surround gaming at 1080p; we need to know their exact model.

Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow; Motherboard: MSI ZZ490 Gaming Edge; CPU: i7 10700K @ 5.1GHz; Cooler: Noctua NHD15S Chromax; RAM: Corsair LPX DDR4 32GB 3200MHz; Graphics Card: Asus RTX 3080 TUF; Power: EVGA SuperNova 750G2; Storage: 2 x Seagate Barracuda 1TB; Crucial M500 240GB & MX100 512GB; Keyboard: Logitech G710+; Mouse: Logitech G502; Headphones / Amp: HiFiMan Sundara Mayflower Objective 2; Monitor: Asus VG27AQ

Gtx 970's, my bad.

My monitor is a BenQ XL2420TE. I want to buy 2 BenQ RL2450HM to run next to it.

I'd say two GTX 970's would be okay for triple surround gaming - you may get around 30-40fps average as 5760x1080 is near to 4k, but to utilize the 144hz you'd need multiple 144hz monitors.

Yea those should be good for surround.

Though your 144Hz monitor will be limited to 60FPS.

If you want to play at 144FPS then you would have to only play on the singular one or buy three 144Hz monitors.

I get 60FPS on my 760 SLI.

that should run 3x1080p in most titles at high settings without issue.

970 SLI will be plenty.

I was thinking straight 4k xD  Yeah.  He should have no issue with the 970's.

if you got the coin alot of people are going for the 21:9 monitors instead of surround these days as it has less screen stretching.

just keep the 144hz when you want to play CS

Its all about those volumetric clouds

This will inevitably be my intention when i find the perfect setup, i leaning towards using the new Curved LG 34uc97 or 34uc87 and wait till early next early for the release of the new 120/144hz Freesync monitor, if only i had 2 980's i could go with a swift and the lg curved, 2 sapphire vapor 290's will have to do at the moment, this setup will work nicely, no problems with having a 60hz display for mmos and 144hz for fps games, should work out ?
