After having a few shabby accidents on my scooty, i'm scared to drive it again in future.  Haven't touched it in last 1 and half year so still a long way to go for a bike or car.

What did you do wrong? Have you taken a safety course?

Go for it!

If I can sell my sr50r at a decent price I will, I'll get a used bike though, a new one costs too much since I'm going to use it only during summer.

Anyone here ride trail bikes/go up bush? Any recommendations on a tame-ish 2 stroke trail/enduro bike, keep in mind i'm roughly 5'6/5'5 (167cm) and 57 (it's like around 125 pound IDK) and i struggled to touch the ground and handle a crf250r....

Still can't get my SV650 (2000) to start :(

I have fitted new spark plugs, it turns over but doesn't fire, - I sprayed quick start into the air intake, and it started and revved, but once it had burned off the spray it turned off again

I have been told to drain the carbs but I have NO idea how to do that, suggestions? (I have NO idea when it comes to bikes or mechanical anything, I can barely change a wheel on my car)

try tipping a bit of fuel down the spark plug hole to give it more of a bang when you start it. IDK what else it could be, try a motorcycle forum.

If it is starting momentarily when you spray ether in the intake its not a spark problem, its a fuel problem.

Your carbs are gummed up. You need to take the carbs off and strip and clean them real well. Unfortunately motorcycle carbs can be a bit finicky.

It's a SS50 btw not a 50cc anymore, it's got a nice 170cc heart on it.

Single flare to a air track to 1990 to a airchair ...

Better learn how to wrench! Especially if you own a motorcycle. It's a life skill. Otherwise, it gets very expensive having to pay a mechanic to do basic service for you.

Now with regards to your 2000 SV650, I have found some tutorials:
