Mac

I've only seen threads about what you drive and none actually on motorbikes.

Post pics of your bikes! :)

I turned 16 a few months ago and I'll be picking up a Peugeot XPS 50 or Yamaha DT50 once I can afford one.

When I'm 17 I'm planning on getting a Yamaha WR125x and passing my car test, purely to give me some flexibility.

How tall are you? If you're 6' or bigger when you're 17 the CBR won't look right since they aren't full size. I'd rather get something bigger like a CBF125 or even better, a supermoto ;)

It's a 50cc fourstroke Honda SS50. It's supposed to look a little bit like this stock from the factory (1974)

Though probably I'm going to turn it into a 80~90cc

Long term goal:

I'm over 6', I was told by a few other people that they weren't full size. I'll try and find one and see how it looks when I'm shopping for one, if it doesn't look right and I have enough money, I will probably go for a YZF R125. I don't really like Supermotos much and I prefer a sport.

Once I'm 17 or 18 I want to get a Honda CBR125R.

Very nice little bike, maintain it regulary and don't ride it like a dick and it'll last you many years :)

Anything with a Honda badge = good :P

Sounds like a plan :)

I also prefer sports bikes, however I think supermoto's are way more practical and don't make you want to drive like a crack head :P

If you do get an R125, please change the tyres, way to many people come off on corners with the stock ones, they're shite :(

I have totaled 3 bikes.. A Gsxr 600 a 750 and a R1 in my 15 years of riding.. I lost complete use of my right arm in a 150mph crash with a semi truck.. While racing buddies a truck changed lanes and I didn't win.. I did have a few drinks in me which doesn't help at 150mph..

Noted, I will have the 125 for a few years so I will end up spending quite a bit on it, probably on finance so it won't be too bad.

I will probably get one of the race 125's, depends how the CBR is.

Just to back up my point about the R125

I would get them changed when I buy it, would be even worse in the wet.

Good idea, I was also looking at getting one but I don't think I'd want to spend the cash on it since I'd be replacing the tyres and they're pretty expensive anyway, they're bloody gorgeous bikes though.

Awesome bike Jordan :)

On the topic of bikes, can anyone recommend a nice dual-sport helmet (visor+peak+large chin guard) that doesn't cost over £200? I love the Shoei's and I'll be buying one at some point in the future but I can't really afford one right now.
