And seriously this forum is getting worse

People obsess to much over it, the artstyle is silly, and it's dominated by sex which is a great way to invalidate your calling it a form of art

Super hero avatars aren't really unique but that specific avatar is pretty unique (well I can't remember seeing it). I don't think many people even get my avatar. I know mine is unique as I took the picture :).

Anime has several different art-styles, their not all giant eyes and giant heads. 

Also it's not dominated by sex. Yes there is fan-service in there but it isn't dominated by it. There are plenty of shows which have no or little fan-service (and even then it's usually comedic)

fan service most definitely is an issue. Holy shit, it bothers me to no end.. usually turn away after the first panty shot or exaggerated jiggling done in a tasteless manner.

but that doesn't correspond with invalidating it as art calling it a joke, as said there is alot of variation.. anime isn't a single specific "art style"
