4ghz overclock club

nice i was thinking of changing to a fx 4100
If you have an AM3+ Motherboard yes but if you need a new motherboard and CPU Go intel, I love AMD but they are slipping.

The FX CPU's are Power hungry, and don't perform as well as their intel brethren with out mass overclocking.

I run at 4.6GHz normally just for power saving but I can push mine to 5.5GHz if I dump a load of voltage into it.
11.96 pts and 93fps with a 670

the max stable oc i got. ran p95 for awhile till the temp got to 75, took about 30mins

normally at 4gigs

I hope you know that an amd processor, and specificly the fx-line don't want temperatures above 70 degrees? you are murdering that chip. but still, a good clock on a relativly low voltage. nice work.

validation? i have to call it a fake untill then. 12 points in cinebench is to much. and the picture just isn't right. proof me wrong :)

My PhenomII x6 1090t does 4Ghz but it gets darn hot with 1.45V. Maybe I'll push it up from 3,8 to make a screenshot...
Yes you will need something to cool it real hard, you can get 3 cores at 4.2 and the rest at 3.8, worked for me.

While running Cinebench, only 5Ghz, not 5.1, would BSOD and I don't want to put 1.54v through my CPU. I've never seen my CPU go above 80'C ever, even in summer.

And the score

I have an AMD FX 4100 overclocked at 4.6GHz (Full specs below)

The thing is; I have had this frequency for a while now and wanted to push it a bit further as my temps are quite low (40 -50 C under load)

I game, render and edit videos and all is fine, however I was running Prime95 earlier and the worker threads encountered an error on the 3rd core

This only happens with stress tests, also the core clocks seem to dip sequentially.

System spec:

AMD FX 4100 @4.6GHz (Cooled with a Corsair H60)

AMD 6870

OCZ Agility 3 120GB

1TB 7200RPM storage drive

8GB DDR3 1333Mhz PYN RAM

Asus M5A78L -M LX

Evo Labbs 750 Watt PSU

P.S. In the picture it says 4.7GHz however, I had to scale back to 4.60. For now anyway ;)

On CPU-z it's saying my Core voltage is 1.476

NB, SB, HT, RAM all at defaults as far as I know, any help and/or guidance is appreciated

Thanks

- Rizz

I haven't really been trying, considering it's in a Crosshair V Formula with a H80. I just haven't found a need to bring it up any higher
sits at 68.3 degC at prolonged full load (rendering a video in Adobe encoder). But I bring the fans up to the max when I do that.

Worth noting that my city is currently experiencing a heatwave, so room temp was somewhere between 36 and 41 degC

Check out my Trading Card Inventory, I probably have that one card you need
