I got a 4GHz overclock on the FX 8150 without even changing voltages however you can push it much higher if you do. I got mine up to 4.5GHz with a bit of trial and error

You can go 4GHz+ really easily on Sandy Bridge with a decent air cooler.

Cinebench is hardly showing that it's stable... but oh well. Although I need to redo all my OC's to actually stress test the AVX instruction since I used an older version of prime at the time.

Ive had my 3570K at 4Ghz but with auto voltage it was getting a little hot (72c under Intel Burn Test) which made my 212 Evo sound to loud for my liking so i brought it back to 3.8Ghz, does anyone know what voltage i could get away with for 4Ghz ? because i think the Auto Voltage is over doing at a little at 1.18V

4,53 gigaherz.

I will go a lot higher, the cpu temp is just 46 degrees under full load from LinX

Posted this on overclock.net a while back, its my 2500k overclocked to 4.5ghz running at max 1.312 vCore.

I did a prime95 blend test for about 20 hours to test for stability.

I'm temporarily using my friends 965 BE, 4.2Ghz

I wish i took a screenshot of my 1090T which I sold 3 days ago, 4.1 Ghz stable :) But that 4.1 was tricky to get, i can tell you that :D Waiting for my new motherboard, so i can get overcloking my "new" 2600K

Mine could get 4.3ghz @1.15v but takes 1.32v for 4.5 ghz, which based on my 'research' is about average. What sort of temps do you get at all stock settings? 72 during stress testing isn't terrible, but its a bit higher than I would expect. Either way, 72 is safe but if it's too loud you can replace the fan with a nicer/quieter one which may actually improve temps.

Thanks, when its just running with chrome (about 15 tabs), steam and a youtube vid in 1080p it runs arround 33c, so I'm very happy with it.

I haven't seen it going over 49c from daily usage so far.
