Titan Black Still Worth It?

So you can pick up opened but still new Titan Blacks for about $600 on eBay. Are they worth that, I have a single 780 right now and I've been debating on whether to add another 780 in SLI, get a Titan Black or get a 980. What should I do?? My budget is like $650

Or you can wait and see what AMD throw onto the table next year, since that 780 of yours should last you until next year.

Two 780 will whoop a 980. Get a second 780, but a reference one for SLI

They literally just announced the 900 series and it's not even out a lot of places.

They are going to lunch a new Maxwell 14nm in a few months and they might come out with the Titan 2 or something, but the Tesla and Quadro are almost for sure

It's actually not. It performs better than a 780ti, and has more vram than any other nvidia GPU. The only thing bad about it is the price. For $600 though A 980 would be a better choice.

If the titan black was less than $500 then its definitely worth it.

I would just get a second 780 Lightning, you can probably snag one off of eBay for $350. That way you can match the clocks of your other card.

SLI 780, it will have the best price to performance for gaming no matter what.

I'm even planning on getting a second 780 myself as i want the extra frames ^^

SLI 780 will have better performance.

 

I'd personally go for the Titan Black since i'm not a huge fan of SLI/Crossfire though. In your situation it own't be much of an upgrade over a 780 though.

I would definitely get another 780 to SLI or sell the 780 and get a 980. Both of those options are still good, of course the advantage of SLI is better performance when supported and advantage of 980 is better single-card performance.

The Titan Black, in my opinion, should be purchased by someone who do a lot of video-image processing, price-wise, not worth the performance in games.

The most appealing are definitely the 780 sli and the single 980.

you play at 1080P a single 780 is plenty enough, put your money eslewhere (AKA get out of your basement and have fun, enjoy your life while it last)

None of those options make as much sense as the 970/970 sli imo.
