As i'm about to tear this system down and start getting X99 parts I figured I should probably bench the existing systems for any comparisons so here we have a few benches.

This will be good reference to find any benefits of going to X99 for me.

Just watched Linus' build. Good that the adapter fits the H100i which will tie me over until I go custom loop. Also insight into the OC achievable as well.

Well good luck jamming it in there

So the first part for the move to X99 arrived yesterday.

Some Crucial Ballistix Sport 2x 8gb 2400mhz DDR4. Nice and cheap, reviews suggest they overclock well.

I'm hoping to upgrade to 2x16gb modules in the future.

I was hoping I would have the motherboard by now but not yet... :(

Stay tuned!

Made some .gifs of MY Ducky Legend. :)

Explode

Fade

A bit (a lot) late, but could you make an inverted fade? Wouldn't it also be more useful, from a usability standpoint?

And finally the system together, note: not finished, but together.

Man this is one very compact build. Custom cables will a lot but custom loop in this with dual rads is going to be a real challenge. Also you don't want to know how I got that GTX980 in there...
