This is Big Bertha. She is my first build and i must say i am quite happy. She's a fiery little demon from hell....

Hardware:

  • i5 3570k @ 4.5Ghz
  • Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo H220
  • Asrock Falal1ty Professional Z77 motherboard
  • Asus DCUII 7970 TOP @ 1125Mhz
  • 2x8gb Crucial Ballistix Sport 1600Mhz RAM
  • Kingston HyperX 3K 120gb SSD
  • WD 1Tb Black HDD
  • OCZ Fatal1ty 750w PSU
  • Asus 24x DVD Drive
  • Antec Eleven Hundred

Fans:

  • 42x Noctua NF-F12 120mm CPU fans (in push-pull config)
  • 1x Cooler Master Megaflow 200mm
  • 1x Cooler Master SickleFlow 120mm
  • 2x Enermax T.B. Vegas Duo 120mm

Peripherals:

  • Mionix Naos 3200
  • Tt eSports Challenger PRO keyboard
  • CMStorm Quickfire Rapid w/ MX Blues
  • XTRAC Fat Mat mouse pad

  • Asus Orion Pro

  • Plantronics Gamecon 780 Headset

I also added a Logisys Meteor Red LED bar for lighting.

The screw mountings for the 200mm fan at the top of the case where not aligned properly so i bought some larger screws from my hardware store and put them through the grill.

On the Eleven Hundred, there were those hideous holes for fan mounts on the side window so I went into the local Ace and had a piece of acrylic cut to spec however the original window was beveled thus the side panel was recessed. this led to the acrylic not fitting as snug as i had hoped so i was unable to mount the acrylic as it was intended. to work around this i had some heavy duty frame wiring (for really heavy pictures) and i had managed to secure the acrylic onto the side panel by looping the wiring in and out of the holes. the result is unnoticeable.

I sleeved most of the cables and on some only sleeved halfway then ziptied (pictured) to save sleeving and time.

FOR ALL ELEVEN HUNDRED OWNERS. ANTEC NOW SELLS A CLEAR ACRYLIC SIDE PANEL WINDOW FOR YOUR CASE. ITS $22.95. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS CALL CS!

only complaint is the stupid bright blue LED on my monitor. planning on upgrading to a 1440p panel in the coming weeks. if you have any suggestions I'd love to hear em! nothing about $700 though...

THANKS GUYS!

Sweet build!  Love the copious amount of LEDs, especially in the front.

I have the same LED stick.  Sure makes the system look like it's swimming in red light.

Very nice sleeving and cable management :)

Thanks! as you can tell it's a night and day difference between infront of the mobo tray and behind it. i practically burned my hand off using a lighting instead of a heatgun on the shrinkwrap. who said PC building was easy...  :P

that sounds like a dream only problem is I'm notorious for taking things apart then not putting them back together :p

I'm planning on moving to 1440p so I think I'll just leave it be for the next few weeks. It's awfully bright though...

Buy a real noctua ;)

I didn't like the dual towers of the dh14

i spent the same amount on the setup I have now tho...

dh14=$85

evo=$35 + 2xnf-f12=$54 = $89

probably shouldve saved for the h100i but oh well :)

Fair enough. Another case that looks so best in red is the 900D. Oh my that looks nice with red and black. Would love to do a 900d ivy bridge-e build but I don't need to. I would go all out if I did it. Maybe red and black is for my next build to change from black and blue that I have at the moment.

it's going to be sooooooooo expensive :(

I really liked the Eleven Hundred's HUGE width. it's wide. like double wide...

but I really wanted to do white and green with the sniper mobo and some green fans but alas red and black won my heart
