right side of my desk, right of my monitor so when im sitting there i can always see my pretty 770 sitting in the window, then i look up a few inches and see my ugly ass stock cooler and cri a lil bit

Nope. My T9 has a window and looks pretty clean and neat. My desk is way to small to compromise space on it, but even if it were bigger, I probably wouldn't do it. Even though the system is pretty silent, obviously it is even less audible sitting under a desk.

 

However, I still can admire its beauty from my bed and in addition get annoyed by Asus awesome idea to put a flare-bright led on their cards^^

 

 

I have custom shelving recessed into a wall that connect all of my cables through the wall to the monitor.  So technically it's not on a wall, it's in a wall.

 

 

Reminds me of that YT-Guy who spent ages on details of his case and ended up hanging it from the wall in another room and drilling a hole through the wall to connect all his stuff. Looked pretty neat though.

I think it should more less depend if u have the PSU facing up or facing down. Dont want to sufocate it.

I thought I had some money... Oh wait... I spent it all ;(

Every PC with a window should sit on top of a desk, no matter if 350D or 900D :) So yeah, mine is on the desk. (unless of course you don't have the space, which would be sad :()

I bought a cheap end-table that matches my desk to put my computer on.

I tried having it on my desk and I just couldn't see the reason for it taking up space and having to hear my fans right next to me. I have it on the floor and it is being lifted with wheels.

Hi, is it true that it's better to put the PC on the desk so there's less dust who enters in it ? I could put it on the desk but it takes alot of space. I planned it to be on the floor. Please share what you think of this.

BUt, if you have filters, and are willing to clean them, then floor is fine

Depends. If the powersupply is intaking air from the bottom, keep it on a desk to flat floor. NEVER CARPET.

 

But if you have dust filters, like more cases do nowadays, then it really doesn't matter.

 

I prefer to keep mine on desks, but i have a couple male cats that might piss on em if i put em on the ground in the corner, sooooo yea... That's actually how i lost my last k70 lol.

As long as you have dust filters on your intakes i cant really see one being worse than the other, for me its more about how the room looks as a whole. Seems out of place to have a computer sitting on top of a desk looking like its a trophy on display, this is why i have a 250D, i don't like all the flashing lights and glowing stuff attracting attention to my desk lol

It's fine on carpet but if you have any type of animals do not place it on the floor. The hair and lint will destroy your filter and you will constantly have to clean them. I have mine on the desk with 1 cat and it has been a year since I got this PC and I have never once cleaned the filters. Checked them but nothing was on them.

Just keeping this here as a Depends on the case I have, my H440 has feel at the bottom so I am not scared of it suffocating as well it has dust filters so none of that crap gets in.

 

I guess if it has good dust filtering and is lifted then anything works. If not then desk for sure.

Either location is fine. Heat rises, so I put it on the bottom. Though the difference is probably minimal.
