I would have gotten the M8 too, if it had a better Camera. The M8 is the only phone that can match the build quality of a Nokia 3310

I'm really torn. I love the metal build, but I actually prefer the soft touch finish of the Nexus 5. I've dropped my phone a lot less since I got it.

I think they need to figure out how to get better performing speakers into a smaller enclosure.

Hell, Blackberry did it, I'm sure they can too.

Then just make it a little wider, much shorter, win.

Get rid of that stupid dual camera set up, and turn one of them into a Xenon flash.

I'm really torn. I love the metal build, but I actually prefer the soft touch finish of the Nexus 5. I've dropped my phone a lot less since I got it.

 

I also have the Nexus 4. The overall build quality is great, just the glas doesn't like drops. The only thing is the coating on the sides, seems to wear off after a bit over a year. If you get the N5, I would recommend a case, because the coating seems to scratch easy.

I've had mine for quite a while and the coating has been really solid. It lives in tight jean pockets too, so it gets lots of rubbing. wish I could say the same about myself

I've also dropped it onto concrete several times, split the back open, etc and it still looks awesome.

Though I have this odd scratch on the front by the ear piece. How I managed to scratch Gorilla Glass is beyond me..

Than I was just really unlucky with my Nexus 4. I dropped it without a case and it survived? You will always get scratchers in screens, one piece of sand will leave a mark for ever. Even my iPad Air, which I only use at home has micro scratches, you can barely see them, but I know that they are there.

If you try to use third party straps it just warps around your throat and chokes you.

I just want them to concentrate on what they did well. IF I want to take pictures, I won't be using a phone anyway. Im a bit tired of this camera focus because they will never be good enough anyway. Just concentrate on the important parts. Happy they didn't waste money on a good camera. They have to make at least some money from the product. Expecting it to have everything is unrealistic

HTC actually has an event on October 8th where they're probably going to announce the HTC One M8 Eye (m8 with a 13mp camera) and a completely new "selfie-phone" called the HTC Eye.
