System Build Upgrades - Do You Pay For Your Own Upgrades or Do Mum & Dad?

Geekazoid

Hi guys,

As the title asks, I'm just curious about this.

The only time my parents might pay for something is on my

birthday and Christmas, that's it. I pay for all of my stuff.

EDIT: Made a change to the title to sound less judging.

Took me two years to save up money for my rig, specs in sig. Did things like yard work and selling some things.

I work at my schools snackbar for minimum wage, it pays for my technology needs :D

That was probably an opinion

I do. Everything myself. However I do ask for cash for my birthday from friends/family, so that always helps a little.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

@Geekazoid, I pay for my things myself, with the exception that I borrowed money off my sister to buy my rig  in the holidays. I love my sister!

Also I was going to edit my post but I can't for some reason and I can't quote either, I think it is because I am using IE temporarily

I paid for my entire rig by selling matchbooks on ebay.

I pay for everything, I hate relying on someone for my stuff. My rig is 10x better becasue of that fact.

I would hate to go to my mum and dad and say 'I need to upgrade my system, can I have some money that I didn't earn to do that please?'

Makes me feel gross typing it

I paid for everything that I am currently using, except for my keyboard and one of my monitors. Those were gifts from the parents.

Something, something, something, famous quote, computer specs, and stuff...
