I use a rooted LG G2 running on AOKP. Use to use SlimKat, but the version I was using started to bug up, even though it use to be perfectly fine...

Just remembered something about that. Remember how I told you that I use the OnePlus One camera app, and how when switching from default to HDR and vice versa it crashes? Well, since I've switched to AOKP ROM, I don't have that issue anymore. Works flawlessly now.

please install cyanogenmod

Did they release an official version of it? I really want to use the finger print scanner for Paypal.

Last time I searched for it they only had the standard version you can put on any device for the GS 5

I once had one of these, now I've got this.

Samsung Galaxy S3, won't qualify for an upgrade until December 2015 so it looks like I'm stuck with it for another year. On the plus side I finally started using Nova Launcher today, miles better then Samsung's stock crap. Wish I could afford to just buy a LG G3 or HTC One M8 out-right.

Why do so many people have/had Galaxy Y? What's so good about it?

Why do so many people have/had Galaxy Y? What's so good about it?

Because it was the cheapest smartphone (that was even worth buying) at the time I bought it. I almost only used it for whatsapp....

CyanogenMod it

Not sure I understand CyanogenMod, is it just another skin for Android (like how Samsung has touchwiz and HTC has Sense)? Do you still get anrdoid updates with CyanogenMod? Does it require root access?

No, it's pure android without a skin (aka AOSP), like what you get on Nexus devices. It's a night and day difference in speed IMO compared to Touchwiz on the S3. It still gets Android updates, but through CyanogenMod. For the S3 though, you're going to get Android updates quicker through CM then with Samsung for sure, and Samsung is dropping support for the S3 with KitKat, so with CM there will likely even be Android L in a few months time.
