Rationale:

I chose the 5820K because it's the cheapest of all other CPU's. Compared to the 5930K, it has less PCIe lanes and just a little slower, but you can overclock it.

The Crucial Ballistix Sport RAM has a grey/silver color scheme that will go with the rest of the build. It has four DIMM's for quad-channel operation and you'll still have 4 slots left for future upgrades.

It has a 128 GB M.2 SSD to store your OS and other frequently used programs. There are 2 Intel 730 240 GB SSD's in RAID 0. They have incredible load speeds for other programs such as Steam. The 2 Seagate 2 TB hard drives are in RAID 1 for your edited media content. It also has a Blu-Ray writer if you want to copy a movie onto a disc.

The Titan Black is extremely powerful, it'll be able to handle any game at 1440p and programs like Adobe Premiere Pro can take advantage of CUDA.

The NZXT Phantom 630 is white that looks great with the motherboard and RAM. It's also windowed so you can enjoy the innards of the rig.

SeaSonic makes quality power supplies, and with 1000W, you can always SLI the Titan Black's in the future. It's rated 80Plus Platinum for high efficiency.

I chose the Asus PB278Q monitor because 27" is a decent size and the rig can handle any AAA game at ultra 1440p.

The Logitech G710+ is a great keyboard with Cherry MX Brown switches. It also has white backlighting to match the white-themed system.

The headset is wireless and has 7.1 channels for the best audio experience.

Lastly, the Corsair SP140's white LED fans give lighting into the windowed case so you can always see your components. It's also great for overall cooling and 2 of them are on the NZXT X61 rad.

*Note that the Corsair SP140 fans in the build is a pack of 2 each. This is a total of 8 fans.*

This is my X99 build! :D

Judging by your post count, I assume this is sarcastic. Just in case it isn't, you don't actually need to build the computer, just put together a part list for the PC you would build. (Hence the "No Building Required" build-off thread.)

This is based on my tastes a bit, blackout color scheme (MSI), you might not agree on the monitor choice either.

Heavy video editing, possible rendering, gaming, photoshop use, etc.

Ultimate 8 Core i7 Extreme CPU with Dual R9 290 GPU power

internal parts are Red/Black color scheme

32GB is overkill but plenty for 4K video processing with OpenCL processing using the dual 290 GPUs and the power of 8 cores instead of the 4 or 6 core variants of the X99 series CPU

serves as a gaming Rig as well with the gaming parts

opt for a 2 speaker config and the Creative Gigaworks speakers pack a punch in terms of volume and bass even without the sub woofer

PS: not posting much as I am still looking for a job after I got fired from my previous job :(

even with the degree, employers are asking for ppl who have at least 2-3 years of exp which I don't

so many applications but no reply or interviews :(

If I have to choose one I'd go with the X99/AMD route

Really wanted to squeeze two R9-295X2's into this build, but unfortunately the budget just wouldn't allow for it - not without compromising and skimping on too many other parts of the build.

Alas, I think this is still pretty beastly none-the-less. A productivity monster with the emphasis on gaming. :)

The Parts List:

CPU: Intel Core i7-5930K 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor  ($564.99 @ NCIX US)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($94.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: MSI X99S SLI Plus ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard  ($226.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Storage: Crucial MX100 256GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($109.99 @ Micro Center)
Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 295X2 8GB Video Card  ($999.99 @ Amazon)
Case: NZXT H440 (White/Black) ATX Mid Tower Case  ($98.99 @ NCIX US)
Monitor: QNIX QX2710 Matte 60Hz 27.0" Monitor  ($339.98 @ Newegg)

Notes:
Went for the higher clocked 6-core 5930K part instead of the 8 core because for gaming the 8 core part provides no additional performance (maybe even less due to lower base clocks), yet it will still eat productivity tasks for breakfast. Saved a few $ there to spend on other important parts.

One of my goals for this build was to leave room to grow. If I couldn't fit that additional R9-295X2 then I sure as heck wanted to make sure it could be added in the future without having to change anything else - hence the EVGA 1300w 80+ Gold PSU (yes it will handle two 295X2's, I made sure of that) and the spacious NZXT H440 case with room for all those AIO water coolers. ;)

I'm big on racing sim games and with a relatively large budget like this, I couldn't resist throwing in three(3) 27" 2560x1440p displays. Not only would they provide an awesome surround immersion experience, but also plenty of real estate for all your multitasking and productivity needs. The 295X2 has more than enough grunt to push these 3 displays - better than any of the Titan offerings I explored.

Thanks for looking. :)

Explanation of some components (if you're bothered to read it!):

CPU: The i7-5930K does have 2 cores less than the 5960X but is almost half the price therefore presenting excellent value. It also has more PCI lanes than the                   5820K which can be an extremely useful feature!

Cooler: The liquid cooled AIO Corsair H105 is an excellent choice in my opinion as it will keep the temps under control so a good ovecrlock can be achieved.

Mobo: Trusted manufacturer with pretty much all the support and compatibility you could want.

Ram: 32GB of this stuff is just completely BEAST, as well as it looking pretty good it can reach some stunning speeds (3000Mz is its advertised speed).

SSD: 240GB will give you a speedy boot up as well as space for some programs or files.

HDD: 4TB is plenty of storage for working with most things!

GPUs: I have chosen to have two R9 290X's in crossfire, this will give great performance for editing or even a bit of gaming.

Case: The NZXT H440 is generally a lovely case with a nice window as well as sound dampening foam.

Power supply: Platinum efficiency, trusted brand, 1000W, what could go wrong!

Monitor: This is a stunning 23.8 inch 4K capable, 60hz, IPS display, which will make all work look great!

Here is a gaming rig.

PCPartPicker list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/B8Y2jX

Please format your post properly (using the BBCode Markup). Check the rules for details. Also, gaming is not a good use of X99, and I won't count your build if that's all it's designed for.

Happy to clarify. Guideline #2 says:

2. You may only submit one build per person per contest.

@KPZ211997 Please pick one of your builds and edit out the other. They both look like nice options :)
