Build your own PC sales associate at Micro Center here. I was kind of spoilt. I didn't get my first job until I was twenty-one and wound up teaching English in Ho Chi Minh City for two years. I also delivered automotive parts for a local Audi dealership for awhile. Twenty-five years old now.

Because the teachers weren't doing the teaching or you weren't doing the learning? Why leave so late when you could have stayed a little longer and gotten an NTCET? Do you regret no getting any kind of award?

I work at a local supermarket in the Netherlands, it's the one that you make the most money in...

At the moment I get €5,40 an hour - last year when I started it was like €5,10. - knowing that someone I know is 19 and gets €4,33 an hour I think I can be pretty happy for a first job :)

So many things I could write here... things like this.

I don't regret it, as a High school cert really doesn't mean as much anymore. lack of a challenge was the reasoning for dropping out.

currently working in a school. so that proves how much the education system cares about offical education :P

Well, an NTCET gives you options, like university. Even if you don't want to go now, it's there. Options are important. You don't need an NTCET to tell teachers to reboot their laptop or plug the VGA cable in properly, so yeah.... High school certifications are very important in Australia now.

I've already done a TEP course so i got my university acceptance score. So the UNI pathway is open to me. was happy when i found out I could do the course as a Mature Aged student, mum had to wait till she was 25 before she started her degree due to failing year 12.

Personally I see more Validity in specialised education in a field over a general certificate that really isn't an effort to achieve.

The options the NTCET give you, are still there if you do things right. something most people won't realise. right now i'm getting some money behind myself before I start doing a Uni Degree.

Following the traditional system of going through school and university in one go works for most, But seeing as the only person in my family who did that went into nursing and failed, and others failed/dropped out or took a 5 year gap then went to university as an adult have succeeded.

tl;dr

The traditional system works for most people. but for some like me we find it easier to tailor our pathway and reach the same levels of education.
