I would never have known this if you hadn't said.

Sarcasm aside, it's a brilliant trick. I personally love the colour of them, they're just so hard to incorporate.

Already knew that, but they are cutting out a big portion of the market with that color scheme. Not that I care, I'm not going to buy $140 worth of fans for my computer.

Dear Noctua
the only reason I am buying GT
because your fans (lol not your following) are UGLY AS HELL
seriously, if you are catering to the higher end that watercools, the market segment that GIVES A FLYING SHIT about how everything looks, I think they care about your "stand out" fans

Thanks
~Nikhil

to you, Noctua

Yeaahhhh, Kinda knew this (still nice for those that didn't).

im not a noctua fan (pun not originally intended then realised :-D), sure silence is important to me but i think that mainly comes down to the quality of bearing, motor and a small amount of design and mostly... speed.
this sharkoon t9 case has 3 very cheap blue led fans (with 3 pin and molex on the same wire, wierd but cool) and they're wired at 12v and they are barely audible because they move so slow (that rules out a 3 pin fan controller then).

color sucks (unless you get a corsair c70 and go for a military build) and I dont think they're all that, id happily go for some quality deltas or any other high speed, high quality fans and then slow them down to a speed where i can barely hear them.
will probably make a build in the future featuring the old silverstone ap120.1s if i can find some and gelid wings, works for linus....

There was a build that implemented the Noctuas well, and it was in a desert rig, it looked pretty awesome, but sadly they are that niche :c

I was always under the impression that the original reason was based off brick, wood, and rock that primary makes up the landscape of Austrian homes/buildings/structures and they kept the colors for marketing/iconic reasons.

I read that and thought you knew because they smelled funny :D  or actually bad

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.

This is NOT the signature you are looking for.

its funny i use noctuas in my current system.. c70 military green case and soon to be a sabertooth z77 and green lighting.. they actually  look pretty nice with the right parts and they perform really well so even if they didnt match i would still be using.. my brother despises the things and still admitted he likes my build better then his own despite the noctuas for the simple fact its cooler quiter and thus can get better overclocks and run faster then him xP
