Computer freeze

Nico1533

Hopefully, in the mean time I cant afford a motherboard since this last purchase.. but i'm still having a hard time thinking that the problem is coming from my motherboard.

Well, if you trying everything I listed (software wise), then it's probably the motherboard.

Well I just re-checked your post and yeah I have done everything, I changed the voltage of my CPU to 1.20v, this is what ASRock asked me to do, if its still crashing then its the motherboard

Wait, you stated that your CPU is the i7-2600 (first page), or is it the i7-2600K?

So like I said I changed my voltage yesterday and I had no issue, until I started playing in my config file of cs go so I was alt-tabing constantly and out of nowhere its froze, so didnt work I guess

Update, after looking more into the event viewer, I have found these right before my system froze, each times, it is listed under warnings.

Custom dynamic link libraries are being loaded for every application. The system administrator should review the list of libraries to ensure they are related to trusted applications.
The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device WpdBusEnumRoot\UMB\2&37c186b&0&STORAGE#VOLUME#_??_USBSTOR#DISK&VEN_UFD_2.0&PROD_SILICON-POWER8G&REV_1100#1401077904722019&0#.

I have no idea how you changed the VCore for a non-K cpu.

I don't think warnings cause the PC to freeze, but I found this, and this:

Are you using a Logitech keyboard on that system?

The driver WUDFRd.sys is associated with Logitech keyboards and some of these are not compatible with Windows 7.

Check the following.

Go to the following website: Windows 7 Compatibility Center

You will see a Software and Hardware tab that you can use to locate the product you wish to check for compatibility.

Select the Compatibility FAQ that will explain how to use the compatibility website.

If you find an installed software/hardware item that does not appear on the compatibility list, go to the website of the maker of that product and check for any updates.

So, you mostly crash when you're alt-tabbing?

Yes pretty much and yes I have a logitech keyboard and mouse, but I was using it before and never had any issues with it

Could it be that its drivers are corrupted, so when you alt+tab it freezes the computer? Do you have an old keyboard lying around?

Well I think it's RAM . I think the least supported frequency for that mobo is 1066 MHz .

Try a ram module from your friend or if u have one with >= 1333 mhz

Well, you know... things break, but I don't think it's the issue here.

I found this. Might shed some light on the matter.

When your computer locks up, if you press caps lock or num lock, do they switch on/off or don't respond?
