That's a serious leap lol

Get to benchmarking! Lets see how it stacks up :D

That is interesting. Seems 970 sli does very well against 780ti sli.

You can't be serious.  Hyperthreading is a market joke?

It does. I kicked around going to 980 SLI, but found a good price on the MSI ($499 after rebate with Borderlands PS) and opted for that. I think the 9XX series are going to prove to have some pretty good headroom too.

Ya i think 970 sli is the best price/performance on the market right now

That score could be probably more optimized. 3D Mark scales very good with OC GPU and CPU.

With my current system and my GTX780Ti 2way SLI I had over 20.000 points in 3D Mark. It would be intersting to know how he runs his cards. If he runs them linked or not. Because I am sure with individual OCing every card and the CPU he could achieve more.

T

They are stock coolers and linked. I wasn't aware they could run unlinked......off to do some research!

No I wouldn´t recommend to run unlinked unless you do benchmarking.

The more you off set  the cards the more you run into micro stuttering.

Good to know. Thanks. It's running rock solid and stable, so I won't mess with it. I did manage to up my score a bit, so will adjust my post.

Good to hear :) . Yes I´d keep it as well. You know high results in synthetic benchmarks are nice. E-peen is nice to have once in a while. But I´ll always prefer a super stable system over everything.

Your link isn´t working :)  .

I wonder why your score is so low though. Should be way much higher.

I mean I´ve got a 2 way GTX980 SLI as well but paired with an i7 5930K and high OCs but I´m over 22.000 points. But who cares as long as everything runes stable it doesn´t matter and this is anyways just synthetic benchmarking. Enjoy your cards :) .

I do not have the option for the extreme since I didn´t buy the full version, so I can´t tell sorry.

But I wouldn´t worry about it, if you like the performance everything is fine :) .
