LTT 3DMark Thread

I wish it was godly. I have reached my limit on air. 1500/2000 is pretty decent though. Im still pretty happy with it especially for the price. Cant wait for some optimized drivers!!

I haven't seen enough 970 overclocks to get a great feel for how that lines up but that is still a very healthy overclock on air. 1500/2000 is quite good.

Nice score for a GTX780, but in relation to Razzaa 's score with the 970 it shows the same that I've seen from my GTX780Ti s to the GTX980s. In 3D Mark there's a pretty significant difference between GK110 and GM204.

Though you could OC your card probably higher ;) .

i wish i could OC it higher :D

no chance, artifacts right away. I can boost my voltages as high as possible but that will not increase stability. I guess i lost the lottery. still an awesome card!

I will probably sell it and get a 970 soon (not because of performance differences but because i need a shorter card for an mitx build) and then i will submit the results aswell :)

Not sure if you have already thought of this, but you should separate SLI and single card setups.

Wouldn't it be better to include the GPU score in the spreadsheet?
Because the avergae score is heavy CPU dependent which doesn't really fit into the GPU section.

if your system is fairly balanced it should make too much difference. i see what you are saying though. we don't want a 5960x with a gt610 at the top of the scoreboard :P

My buddy offered me full price for my Zotac 970 so i sold it to him. I have been reading good things about the Gigabyte card and decided to get it because i like the looks and back plate. It is a beast thats for sure.

Benchmark: Fire Strike
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K
GPU: Gigabyte G1 Gaming 970

GPU Memory: 2000 Mhz

Score: 11,789
3DMark Link: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/2818002

It scored a 13,800 graphics score and put me in #1 on the Firestrike website for a single 970. I have only increased power limit and i am still on stock voltage!! :D

nvidia spent ages optimising the driver for firestrike. they clearly didn't do anything with the unigine engine.

Ya that has to be the reason. Otherwise it doesn't make any sense. This 970 destroys my 290 in FS and Gaming but gets slaughtered in Valley.
