LTT 3DMark Thread

@Cheddle try turning up your fans to 100%, gpu boost on the cards turns off when you reach 70-80c and underclocks the card, if you can keep the temps down it shouldn't drop like that

You can up that limit and the power limit with most gpu overclocking applications but I believe gpu boost still has a limit.

So the auto put overclocking kinda failed and using precision X to increase the temp and power limit barely got me anything. The software fan control did get me cooler temps.

I use MSI afterburner, and it allows you make a customer fan curve, basically making the fans scale to 100% when it reaches 68c and keeps my gpu boost from downclocking at its 80c limit (gtx 770s) - also I don't mess with the cards power limit (voltage) but within NVidia control panel, you can choose to "prefer maximum performance" in the power management section under manage 3d settings -

I'll try that, i hover at 69/70 degrees

I use msi afterburner, i use 122% power limit and +50-87 mv (anything between 50 and 87 results in 1.256 volts

I just find it odd that it fluctuates 25mv for an unknown reason.

I finally got around to doing some overclocking and bench marking of my Strix 980. I have included results at stock settings as well as my OC results, I thought it was interesting to see the difference so I will include them.

I am still a bit of a noob when it comes to bench marking so maybe someone can answer one question for me. I OCed my 980 to 1541MHz core and 1878MHz memory but for some reason in 3Dmark it only shows 1403MHz on the core. Both MSI Afterburner and GPUZ read 1541, anyone know what's up with that?

Anyway, score time
