LTT 3DMark Thread

if that HWE could do anything more...

my best chances are to blame TIM application...

got a replacement TIM and going to clean everything out next Friday when I get a day off

hopefully that will drastically drop my load temps and I'll be able to push more voltage

Have you tried raising VCCIN to see if you can drop CPU voltage a bit?

I did try to raise VCCin but not in a combination with Vcore drop, I did it to check if I could input more Vcore for higher clocks, but that didn't help at all

I'll try what you suggested after maintenance cleaning

Uncheck the box "Show only valid results", because a lot of Radeon guys chug trough drivers and Futuremark doesn't validate the non-WHQL driver versions

The other guy runs an older FS version and driver.

Maybe they were more efficient.

But you're defo a bit faster for CPU + GPU score. Other guys combined is just slightly better.

NO MATTER! I HAVE DEFEATED THAT FOOL! SUCH PEASANTRY!

I CLAIM DOMINANCE!

I just loaded up my 4.9 GHz OC profile and ran the test again.

I now own the #1 3D Mark Fire Strike v1.1 score for that configuration.

For the hell of it, I unchecked the "Show only valid results" checkbox...I am still rank #2! :P

about 130 3D Mark points higher due to higher Graphics Score, and higher FPS in Graphics Test 1. Plus, they were on UI ver 1.5.915.0 64.

http://www.3dmark.com/compare/fs/9972768/fs/9539376/fs/7840114

(I'll try my *semi stable* 5.0 GHz CPU overclock, and push the R9-Fury's a bit more before updating my 3D Mark score on  this thread)

That e-peen just grew that extra 1/2" bigger now

I might just do that for one-day or half-a-day just for benchmarking...it's just a pain to undo all the cable routing on both systems -- since the Intel rig only has a 550W PSU.

Plus, my i5-4690K rig has somehow been "claimed" by my younger brother who uses it for CS:GO and Overwatch. I don't know how this happened...he now uses it 80%~90% of the time... :/

Plus anything to do with numbers even if its a 0 is speed, also i went into a ict course in level 1. There are literally thousands upon thousands of valid GTX 970 scores that are higher than yours in Time Spy 1.0.  You're score for that configuration is actually low.

You can search the 3dMark database for your card to get a better idea of how your score relates to comparable configurations.

Here is an example.  Switch number of GPUs to 1 and you'll get the idea.

Your GPU isn't special and it needs to use every bit of the cores and memory it has available.  If running benchmarks like Time Spy is something of interest, you may want to spend more time learning the basics like clock speed and memory speed.

What does this even mean and how is it relevant?

You are obviously not understanding what @Jumper118 is asking your for.

Use this link to download GPUz so that you can determine what your core clock speeds and memory speeds are.

Yeah, I did.  I got the replacement 1080FTW in the mail a couple days ago.  Hopefully it's a better clocker than the one it is replacing.  = )

TitanX benchmarks this weekend, then I'll break the 1080s back out again.

Our Grace. The Feathered One. He shows us the way. His bob is majestic and shows us the path. Follow unto his guidance and His example. He knows the one true path. Our Saviour. Our Grace. Our Father Birb has taught us with His humble heart and gentle wing the way of the bob. Let us show Him our reverence and follow in His example.
