UPDATE 4/7/21: I see this is still being used but fairly outdated. I will look to update this and create a new tracking system to organize the results.

 

I have decided to start a LTT 3DMark spreadsheet for anyone looking to keep track of their scores in relation to other users of the community. Much thanks to Jumper118 for maintaining the Valley thread found here. I will be maintaining 3 different benchmarks to start, I will add more if needed later on.

Hmm maybe I should rethink how the benchmarks should be classified. It was my intent to have high-end systems bench on fire strike extreme, average systems on fire strike and lower end on sky diver. This way we could keep everyone in their respected tier and they could relate their systems to others of a similar build.

Perhaps all SLI/cf configs should be on extreme.

Extreme is when you have to pay for and I gotta say I´ll cheap out on that. I´m not shy buying good software like Aida64 Extreme full version but this is just a benchmark.

As Najuno  had just said, to run Fire Strike at Extreme setting requires that user pay for it. Funny to think that peeps with high end cards 'cheap out' on this benchmark program.    Regardless, to make it a level playing field, benchmarks should be run at regular presets on the free version. I have the paid version actually, only reason why I'd gotten it is due to the fact that I can simply run the Fire Strike benchmark at whatever setting I choose w/o going thru all those other time consuming benchmarks.

The 25 USD are not an issue money wise, but I use more programs like Aida64, Cinebench or Unigine Benchmarks and just for shits and giggles for a single time benchmarking isn´t really worth it for me.

My previous post wasn't directed at you, don't get me wrong.   It's a statement in general as I've seen guys with uber systems who have refused to pay for it. I got mine on the Steam sale when it was quite cheap.......at 25USD, I'd not pay for it.

Sorry, I did not know Extreme was paid for. I bought 3DMark a while ago and just figured it was part of the free edition. I'll update the sheet to prioritize Fire Strike over Extreme. Is Sky Diver free?

Thank you that is nice . To my knowledge every benchmark in 3D Mark is free except for the extreme.

I find this a cool idea to have this thread as well. It helps just like the Unigine Valley thread the people to dig a bit more in detail of their GPUs and optimize them .

Now I just have to wait for Game24 and the release of nVidia's GTX980. If the card is really that good, I'll have to sell 1 more GTX780 Ti for cheap and get 3 of these GTX980s going and benchmark the hell ouf of them. Can't wait to see that under water!

Ok since I have now a GTX980 2way SLI running I think it is time to post my new 3D Mark result as well.

Seems like your overclock isn't stable, note the turbo freq on your cpu for that result.
