Google Play Store Whatsapp Downloading Error 942

Hi all,

 

I recently went back to my old Samsung Ace Duos S6802. When I try downloading Whatsapp from phone it said the App is not compatible with the device. When I tried from Website Google Play store, the error msg came as Downloading Error (942). 

 

Ace duos runs in Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread.

 

Playstore version 4.9.13

 

What I have already done: I cleared cache, forced stop of the Google Play store app. Restarted the device, tested (didn't clear the data)

 

Did Factory reset.

 

Tried with different gmail account.

 

Did factory reset went into the mobile without logging into the gmail account. Opened Play Store logged into playstore from there and tried.

 

All the above nothing worked.

 

Pls suggest how to get whatsapp.

Try clearing the cash of the Google Play Store. A friend of mine had a similar problem and it worked fine for him.

No need to go to 3rd party sites. You can get the apk from whatsapp.com/android

Don't be such a nittypick...

Bye LTT. That was an interesting journey on this board. At least here you see how not to do it. I'll go shaking my head about this place.

OK got the apk from WhatsApp.com and installed. Thanks guys didn't strike me before
