Because it's the beginning of the DDR4 phase of computers. Remember just how slow computers were back when DDR3 came about.

my ddr2 core 2 duo e6550 was a speed demon it just couldnt play games more graphically intensive than gta sa but thats only cus it had a 5450 but it was still a speedy little beast

It's a point saying that at the point when DDR3 came out and now, there were huge technical advances in the performance of PCs.

MSI still wins the colour scheme war. And Gigabyte still soundly loses that war.

subjective. to me, this is complete win for me, followed by MSI SLI PLUS or whatever it is

I think the M.2 slot is where the USB 3.0 connector would typically be located on a normal mobo, below the power connector.

 

The socket looks the same as the one on my Z97 MPOWER

DDR4 has 16GB DIMMS as a standard (coming later), so 128GB is readily available
