I was just wondering what mouse DPI people use. I use 3500, I don't know if it is high or low compared to other people. What DPI do you use?

Yo, this is like thread #938457394578 about this subject, no big deal but I'm going to report it so it can be intertwined with one of the others ;)

I don't even understand how people use such high DPI. How do you use a mouse that goes from one end of the screen to the other after moving your mouse an inch?? I;m at around 1200-1600 on a 24" 1920x1080

What do they know of England, who only England know?

  • 11 months later...

I use 3600 for everything, only changing the settings in-game if I need to. And rarely do I lower them.

I hear about people using 400 and all I can think about is how slow that is! you must spend like 3 min getting your mouse from one side of your screen to the other!

with what I have it set to I can get my mouse from left side of my left monitor to the right side if my right (2nd) monitor without having to lift my hand, but I still have easy fine control for placing my mouse to click on things.

800 DPI with Windows sensitivity set to 6, mouse accel disabled via registry.

400DPI if someone challenges me to a game of Unreal Tournament.

7500 for desktop and 2950 for gaming.

I really don't like moving my hands around.

400dpi is all I'll ever need... it's the setting I'm most confortable using while gaming. I might change it to 500 from time to time, but 400 is still my sweet spot.

I'm a low sens guy. I like using a lower dpi setting because I'm with a large mousepad (SS QcK XXL).

Higher dpi settings don't allow me to be as precise...

150 DPI is perfect for me.  I don't know how people can stand anything over 800.  After that point the curser just flies at light speed.
