So guys, what DPI settings do you use?

Both for primary and other sensitivity settings you occasionally switch to.

Bonus discussion area, what events or actions require you to use your secondary DPI settings?

I use the following.

200

450

950 (default)

4000

8200

800dpi, been using it for years and it's quite comfortable, just the right speed for swapping between game types (RTS, MMORPG, FPS etc)

The mouse I use most often only has 1000 for a dpi. Works for me.

According to Steelseries I use 5700 DPI. It don't change it at all, since that would just confuse me.

In Smite, 500 (CUZ I'M A NOOB). For everything else, 1000-2500 (basically gaming at the low end, browsing and work at the high end).

to be honest even if you change your dpi the mouse sensitivity ingame also has an effect so yeah, it depends.

for browsing etc. I use between 1500 and 3000 depending on my mood.

Why do you have to use 1800 DPI? Did you go for a larger resolution monitor?

Have you noticed any difference between the 500 and 1000hz polling rates? I just today bought a g700s, and I'm currently using 500 as I'm assuming it'll conserve battery life more than the 1000hz option.

It mostly affects me when I use my laptop (desktop can take it cuz it's a beast). Sometimes the 1000Hz would actually cause some input lag on my crap computers.

At first switching to 1000Hz will make movements feel slow. Just up the DPI until it feels right again. Since it's a laser mouse, you'll get the best tracking at the higher polling rate, since anything slower just leaves it more open to guessing acceleration and position...

I went from a 1080P monitor to a 4K 21:9 monitor, so there is a fairly large difference. (Well more like 2K since the height is 1440, and with is 3440.)

I use 6,500 DPI, 3,600 DPI and 4,200 DPI.   6,500 when I navigate my desktop, 3x1440p monitors in surround bezel and gap-less. 4,200 when I Game and web browse. And 3,600 whenever i aim inside of a game. I am a high sensitivity user.

8200 @ 1080P    100% of the time.   I Can 90 degree turn with less then a 1/4 inch of movement.

I've always like a sensitive mouse or controller.   On consoles I'm usually maxing that slider out or almost. 10/10 or (8/9/)10

Whatever the lowest is on the M40. Since my screen isn't high res at all (1024x600), it flies on anything higher. And on my M185 (part of the MK270 bundle) 1,000 since it's the only thing the mouse has.
