Advice on Custom PC Build

I spent about an hour on PC-Partpicker selecting these parts. 

 

I would really appreciate some advice / improvements / suggestions.

 

IMPORTANT NOTE: I will not purchase anything until the GTX 880 is released because I will probably replace the GTX 780 with that

get a evga g2 750w psu, get a i5 4690k if your just gaming, you can get a msi gaming 5 or 7 instead, also get a hyper 212 evo or a h100i.

At this time you are better off getting a 780 since gtx 880 release date is unknown. cant plan for something you have no idea what it will cost.

I might suggest getting a 3rd party CPU cooler and if you are only using the pc for gaming an i5 is more than enough you don't really need an i7

There is not much point in designing a build until pricing and detailed specs of the gpu you intend to buy. A budget is also helpful.

 

I will say though that the OP build needs an aftermarket cooler of some sort. A better psu than the RM-650 would also be a good idea.

I have a corsair power supply because I also have a Corsair case. I am also going to use this computer for some 4k video editing. The current motherboard I have is cheaper which is the only reason I'm not getting the 212 Evo. Thanks.

I have a 512 SSD Because my current hard-drive has around 400gb of Programs.

I would like to have the Wireless because if I move homes and the Modem is placed in a position where Ethernet is un-usable then I will still have Internet access.

I plan to have this computer for as long as possible and with constantly updated programs, technology etc. I think that this will still be high-end in the future.

Yeah. If i was to purchase it now I would get a 780 but I'm not going to until the 880's released. I also am happy to receive so many suggestions so I can modify it as time passes.

Yeah, Once the gpu comes out it will be a lot easier to select parts.

I really like this build. Although, I do like the case I selected. Other than that this looks great!

The PSU seems fine to me, you can't exactly put another 780/880 in it though, if you want to upgrade. I would also choose the Kingston RAM, like dragoon20005, since it's better value, but the Corsair is a good choice too, if you want it to match your PSU and case.

Anyway, it's good to see someone being reasonable about their selection of PSUs. Lots of people put a 1000W PSU in their build, just because they have a 780Ti.
