"How many watts do I need"? Check Here!

Aniallation

The Seasonic is a very good unit. The highest power consumption benchmark I've seen for 680 SLI doesn't hit 600W, and that's also with CPU overclocked, so your system under heaviest load will be around 550W, so yes, Seasonic G650 will be fine.

Awesome..

Thank you very much  :)

Guys, hello.

I am doing my budget build, I've done some research, but I couldn't find enough information about 12v amps for psu (just number from specs).

The system should be:

Amd athlon x4 860k

Asrock a88m extreme4+

8gb ram

Gigabyte r9 280x BF4 edition

HDD western digital blue

I'm planing to do OC (cpu to around 4.2-4.4, and probably gpu).

What PSU I need for this? I was considerig Coolermaster B500 500w, Chieftech gps-500A8 500w.

Are those psu ok or I need more wattage and another psu? I tried to look for 12v rail amps but didn't find it.

500-550W is a good spot for some decent headroom. Where are you buying from, and what is your budget? The Cooler Master is definitely better then the Chieftec, but I could possibly take a look at what they have, and if possible I can provide you with a better option for your budget.

I am buying from online store in my country and budget is around 40-70 eur for psu.

Ofcourse I would like to spend as little as possible, but don't want to regret it :)

Here are websites, probably not in english, but I'll put ditect links

For reasons that I had mentioned a few posts above this to Jokerr, I recommend the Cooler Master G550M: http://atf.ee/kompjuternie_komponenti/bloki_pitanija/cooler-master-g550m-550w/

That unit is manufactured by CWT based on the GPA platform. Basically, it's identical to the lowest-end Corsair PSU - the VS. I would take a past on that unit.

oh forgot to ask - will this 550w let me do overclocking of cpu to 4.2-4.4 ghz and gpu overclock at the same time?

Or it's more for just normal usage?

It will be enough for OC

Please confirm that the RM850 will be good enough for my dual 980 and 5920k.

Intel 5820K ¬ ASUS x99 Deluxe ¬ HyperX Predator 3000Mhz 16gb ¬ Gigabyte Titan X ¬ SuperFlow Leadex 850W ¬ Crucial Mx100 512Gb x2 RAID 0 ¬ NZXT H440 + HUE + X61 ¬ ASUS ROG Swift

It will be enough but don't get the Corsair RM. Seriously, go look at my profile.

Get yourself an EVGA 750G2, it will be perfect for that part combination.

It will be enough. Whether or not you should get the RM850 rather than other alternatives will be determine by where you are purchasing this PSU. There are few instances where the RM series are a viable option.Of course, often enough, there are other better options; however, it is better to be sure rather than saying not to get something without knowing what is available to you at what price. Can you provide a link of where you are able to buy from?

superflow leadex 850w? They actually have them at 40% discount.

lol I really don't understand anything on that site

I found my way here http://www.coolpc.com.tw/evaluate.php

For lower then the price of Corsair RM850 ($4888) I would much rather get Super Flower Leadex 850W ($3690) aka EVGA 850G2

Hahah I just updated my post with that same psu.

Yes the site can be a bit tricky.

Actually they have it down to 2600 after discount.

Thanks for the help! With the x99 and new Nvidia gpu low power consumption is a good thing, no need to get examillion watts to OC.

No problem. You won't need that many watts for sure, but that PSU is an absolute steal for 2800.

EVGA 850G2 for less then the price of a Corsair CX750 O.o

The pricing in Taiwan is so strange, some name brands are cheaper on certain parts. And other things that shouldn't even be considered are overpriced.

That's true, I went from a mainly corsair build and to now nothing from them and saved a good 20%.

Yep, it'll be perfect. What 1000w specifically though?
