Finally some news on the project! - well, it's not good news.. 

 

I want to first apologize to everyone who were following this thread and expecting progress..

 

Project Toaster is sadly over, due to my lack in time and interest in the build. It was a fun ride, but i realized that the case was just too much of a hazzle and with all the setbacks i had with months and months of waiting for parts, i just couldn't bare it anymore. The toaster has gotten a new owner - one of my close friends. He needed a small chassis for carrying around, and i thought it would be best to give it to someone who would appreciate it alot more. I have therefore decided to switch back to ATX for now.

 

I can't thank you guys enough for all the support and replies on this thread. Who knows - maybe i will come up with something new? ;) I will keep you updated.

Update #6 - One step forward, two steps backwards...

 

Bad news everyone. I was assembling my build, and was almost at the end. I decided to test the psu before i started doing cable management.. The psu works fine, but when the pc is turned off (still connected to power) the psu makes a really loud and annoying high pitch tone. And this is only when turned off! It goes away once i power on the pc. The noise is so severe, that it gives me a freaking headache. And no, i have concluded that it's not placebo, since my AX860 in another build is dead silent. I might have to send it back... :(

 

More waiting incoming, sorry guys.

Update #7 - Enjoying LAN party on my bae

 

I finally got a new SX600-G, and i just threw it in there, and went to a LAN party at my school. Works like a charm, and won me the CS:GO tournament. ;)

 

More updates when i get home..

I had a lan party in school using school PC-s with UT

it was a catholic school but everyone was swearing " I was with the basic weapon for fuck sake"

 

I miss lan parties :(

Well after a prolonged gaming season it can be used as hand warmer ;)

Put an oc'ed R9 290x in there and you might have a toaster.

I have the Silverstone ML07 for a HTPC that Linus featured the Silverstone 600w SFX PSU in and was surprised 1. the PSU can power a R9 290 and 2. that it didnt get that warm, considering it wasnt a blower exhausting out the back.

 

I have a GTX750Ti FTW in mine though so err, heat really isn't an issue.

What is the monitor in the three way surround setup? i found a similar one but it doesn't have a vesa mount
