Older Marantz 4500 VS Denon AVR-3808

Hello guys,
Just wanted to ask a quick question.
Will I see an improvement over my older Marantz 4500 if I purchase a used AVR-3808?
I'm using CMC2 for center, CM9's for front and some random Jensen rear speakers.

The only reason I would pick the Denon instead of the Marantz is if I would want to use the built in HDMI 1.3a switch. Otherwise don't waste your money.
