No can do. It's a docsis 3.0 voice modem, and time warner cable won't let you use your own voice modem.

You can buy your own modem. The Phone/modem combo is called an eMTA.

When you do this, TWC is forced to let you use the eMTA for FREE. You'll just have to use an cable splitter, and will effectively have two modems. The TWC provided one will have its ethernet ports disabled, and will only have the phone lines active.

See: http://www.timewarnercable.com/en/support/faqs/faqs-internet/internetca/can-i-still-purchase-my-own-mo.html

Or you can get TWC to roll fiber to your house via MetroE, but that might be a tad expensive for most  :P .

An SB6141 is $89

An SB6183 is $1253

In the grand scheme of things, it'll pay off within an year considering your rental fee, and then save you money thereafter.

At work one of our servers running a database has an uptime of 391 days as of last afternoon, it's a database that's not used very much, so it does not have any problems at all.

I leave my computer on unless I'm going to bed or school. Right now I have about 8 hours uptime.

Just post a screen cap of your system uptime in task manager or what ever you use.

If it is a server you must annotate so.

I remember a long time ago some dude showing his server uptime which was something like a year.

I thought to myself, if that doesn't get you laid then nothing will.

Nothing will

One of my schools servers (32 days up, should increase in the future i assume). This one we are allowed to access for SQL and work from home (which i just found about like yesterday).

Wish i had more of this apparent beast. Need those HWBOT points.

Could someone direct me to this dialogue in Windows 8.1? The uptime doesn't seem to be located in Task Manager anymore.

its under "CPU" tab under "Performance"

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Sample Text ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Old rig used to go weeks between restarts, couldn't stand HDD boot times

nowadays lots of anti-cheats force you to restart if they've been closed :c
