Sometimes I get to more than 9 days.

Folding all the time, no fatal crashes:

Ten day uptime on our router/modem. This is the longest I've ever seen on a router on my connection, because we've only ever had terrible routers. Also, this is the most transfer I've ever seen for a single session. Bear in mind this is at 6mbps.

I rarely power off the machine fully. Did it recently though because I needed Windows for something.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

I usually switch my rig off every night it just so happens that over the last three days I have been heavily downloading so I leave it on overnight when the connection is fastest.

Why do you switch off your rig?

Since I don't have a fast SSD it's too much of a hassle to wait for it to start back up again. Also, things are exactly as I left them, instantly, if I just turn my screens off when I'm not using my rig.

I've got an SSD and it takes no more than 10 seconds to boot. I'm also quite organised in regards to my programs and files so it's very easy to get up and running again. And as my most used display is my projector it doesn't really matter as it takes longer for my projector to start up than it does my PC.

Yea but that's awake time. I haven't restarted or powered off in the past two weeks (and it's more like a week and a half, not 2 weeks).

I put it in sleep mode when I'm away from home.

I'm currently at 1 day, 10 hours and 41 minutes. Odd, I always turn off the computer every day but Im guessing I end up doing a fast shut down allowing (Win 8.1) to boot back up very quickly.

Turn my game pc off every day so nothing worth mentioning there.

My server is on 24/7 and has been for about 2 or 3 years now. So actual power-on time is about that. However i have rebooted it a few times... current up-time is this:

uptime-5-5-15.png

So yeah... i miss the "over a month" option... maybe a year option to... chose the month now.

Cost isn't the issue, the issue is that it is a waste.

It's not a waste if you fold.
