Marco Martinho

i usually like lighter keys like reds so blacks wouldnt be the key for me but i recently tried a blue and the tactile feedback is just amazing and i wear headphones most of the time so the sound doesnt bother me

Honestly, if a keyboard model I want, like the Ducky Mini, comes in the four usual switch types (Red/Blue/Brown/Black), I'd take Black....I dislike Browns (light and too mushy), Reds (linear and light, even worse), Blues (tolerable but a tad light)....Black is fine by me as it's stiff though linear.

I'd pick blacks over any of the other "common" switches. I myself are a very heavy handed typer. A year ago I bought my first mechanical after trying blacks blues red and browns, a Steelseries 6Gv2 black switches. When I just got the keyboard, and was getting used to it, I managed to accidentally press the keys while resting my fingers on it (even with the 60 gram actuation). If I'd switch to a lighter switch I would probably press keys accidentally really often...

Yesterday though, my 6Gv2 retired, and I switched to an even heaver switch, Greens <3

So basically, I think the reason blacks are least favorite is because of how heavy they are, I happen to love it, I guess most people dont.

Just a biologist. Yea, don't know what I'm doing on a tech forum either?

Blacks are basically mechanical membrane , no click, no tactile bump

personally for the cost of a mech keyboard I find black rather underwhelming, though they suit gaming really well because you tend to bottom out keys when gaming anyway like WASD
