What headphones are you using?

I used to have Sennheiser CX-300 ii, but I gave it to my sister 2 months ago. It is still a very good iem but it kinda lacks soundstage, which is why I decided to get the Audio Technica CKS77X and I think it is the best iem I've ever bought so far. However I mostly use my iem when I travel or go to the gym. At home I use the famous Audio Technica M50, because everyone seems to like it, it has good reviews, so I decided to get one. After about 50 hours of burn-in, I can definitely say that this is my favorite headphone so far, and it is one of the best headphones for under $150. Some people might say that it is overrated, but everyone has different ears and maybe it's not suitable for them. For me, it fits me perfectly and it is definitely worth every penny.

Got them for $150.

Nice! I have been trying to look for a attractive price for those headphones with no luck. Amazon plus shipping to Canada is about $200. Found a couple used ones on head fi and the lowest price is $130.

You must "Quote" to get my attention​.

Are the A50's worth it? I was thinking of getting them for my build. Are they better than Sennheiser HD650's

On my PC and at home: Audio Technica ADG1's. I use them for music, games and general computer stuff. They sound pretty good, bass is kind of mild, but it's still there and detailed, just not banging away. They are really nice and light to wear, comfortable to wear too, the padding is nice and soft, the fabric feels nice on my skin, and most importantly they are big. going all the way around my ears without touching them, which is important for me as my lobes are gauged and pressure from headphones can be irritating.

On the go: Audio Technica CKX7is. These in ears are what I use for music listening when going places. got them on a whim in an airport as I was bored of my old sennheiser in ears. they do sound very good, nice detail to them. they even came with a pair of comply foam tips, which are quite good. They are quite bulky though, and the funny rubber things to keep them in your ears take some getting used to. also noise from the cable bouncing around is infuriating, I need a clip for that

The non-leather still kills the aesthetic. My all leather LCD-X looks x10 sexier.

 Never used them. I think they are but they are not the headphones you want if all you want is massive bass.

Really, while they measure poorly in their own right, its not because they have to much or little of something, its the driver tuning. The driver has been set up as such to move too fast and the sounds over lap. (I do believe its a form of resonance, but I would have to dig up the article which I'm pulling this from for a fact check)

I use the Turtle Beach XP7's for gaming, but only because I won them a couple years back. And I use some bad apple earbuds for music because my Razer Krakens broke.

I dunno.  The graph shows Beats with a flat response at +5dB from 200hz to about 20hz whereas the Beyers do not have a flat resoponse in this region... they have a healty dip between 20hz and 80hz which is a critical zone for impact-laden bass.  Sure, the Beyer's has extended reponse below 20hz whereas the Beats roll off, but that doesn't matter.  You aren't hearing that anyway.  I say dude is right when he says the Beats are bass heavy.  I've never listened to them, but based on the graph (if it's accurate), it's not hard for the trained individual to see that.

Currently for

 

Desktop: SteelSeries Siberia V2 USB - going on 3 years old, and well traveled (across Canada several times)

Mobile: Sennheiser CX275s Earbuds

 

I really like both, but now that I've got a separate mic for the desktop I'd like to upgrade my desktop headphones to Sennheiser HD558's. Just can't justify dropping the $200 yet.

I have a Sennheiser HD 598 and I'm pretty happy with it. It has a unique look too, which is a bonus. Reminds me of a Bentley's interior. :D

Yes, and i had the leather on my LCD-2s.. Vegan is much more comfy.
