Does anybody remember when YouPorn tweeted out to it's followers, asking if they had any pro Dota 2 or League  of Legends players that wanted a sponsorship?

Well apparently YouPorn has found somebody to sponsor.

Many people who responded to the original tweet came to a similar conclusion, that if YouPorn was to sponsor a team they would likely have to fund them under a different name because of their being a host for mature content.

 

In which case a team gets a sponsorship, and YouPorn gets some recognition from those in the ARTS community as eventually YouPorn will likely announce who they're sponsoring.

 

Personally I think it's great that competitive gaming is beginning to be treated like a sport.

Good for them, sadly I've noticed that porn streaming sites (specifically pornhub) are now showing adverts for gaming.

 

Yeah, that's actually happening. Currently I've only see the 1 advert for RIFT.

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Dubs are better than subs

Because there are certain restrictions as to who can sponsor 

(The following actions will be considered unfair play and will be subject to penalties at the discretion of LCS officials.) Advertising any pornographic website or pornographic products.

That's quoted from the LCS rulebook.

LCS is the LoL championship, similar to the International for DOTA if I'm not mistaken.

 

I'm not aware of any rules for DOTA but I'm sure there's some clause somewhere that says they reserve the right to penalize any team for X at their discretion.

AFAIK "gamning" community is mainly composed of teenage boys that like to spank the monkey 99% of their awake time, so i dont know.
