Think ill get a few LEDs for behind all my stuff, might get a fish but not 100% sure. so far i have my ipad next to my monitor for movies but i do want to put another screen in for movies instead, (ipad is a dust collector i need some use for it lately) then i have my battery charger next to my radio/iphone charger and my headset next to that and it spands across my whole desk but its plain right now. ill be looking around but so far i do like the fish idea and the USB dock thingy

i can only have 4 monitors at a time lol

why is that, assuming your card has DP out and it supports MST you could run 6 fairly easily.

Desktop -  i5 4670k, GTX 770, Maximums VI Hero, 2X Kingston Hyper X 3k in raid zero.

Laptop - Lenovo X230 Intel 535 480GB, 16GB Gskill memory, Classic Keyboard Mod, Triple USB 3.0 Express Card.

what are the ports. If you have one DP port that supports multi stream transport you can use an mst hub like the one from EVGA or club3d to run 3 displays of the displayport output and then another 3 of the rest of the connectors.

Since I use a dresser for a desk, I covered my mirror with a Halo 4 poster. But my "desk" is really cramped, so a tower and a 24" monitor would really be all that I could possibly squeeze on it.

I want to build my own desk from IKEA though.

But, I digress, get some ambient lighting that you can put behind your monitor and play with. I think there are some that you can plug into your computer and get to adapt the lighting according to what you're doing (like when you take damage in a game it turns red). Not sure if those are actually a thing, or if it was just something that I want or saw someone make themselves.

Well maybe not on a card that old. if it was able to do it though you would be able to run 6 just off the DP ports. What the box says does not really mean anything at this point.

Pure simplicity. I was going to get the 59 x 29 /12 top and OLOV legs. And some of their cable management stuff.

That should be more than big enough for my room. I might get another smaller top (if they have one) so that my desk can be even longer.

No, sadly. I thought about it, but then it would go by my window and into my bed... Straight desk is where I'm stuck.

At least it's better than a round table :L

Seriously, having one can be so inconvenient some times.

Having a dresser is worse. It's uncomfortable, and your legs are always up against something, so you can't slide your legs under it like you would with a normal desk.

Make a stock intel heatsink into a coaster (like, for drinks)

Just went downstairs and made one lol.

Step one:Locate and clean CPU cooler.

20140727_001916.jpg

Step two: Locate And cut up broken USB cable (It will probably be a micro ). Isolate the black and red wires.

20140727_001938.jpg

Step three: Black to black. Red to yellow.

20140727_002235.jpg

It lives!

20140727_002509.jpg

Step four: Tape it up if you want.

Step five:  Enjoy your Cool drink brought to you be Intel.

I'm ordering one of those headphone stands, at the moment there's so much disorganisation in my area that I put my headphones down in a different place each time.

Having them hang neatly from the side of the desk will be nice.
