Waiting on the PSU – saw a deal for a never-used AX1500i that I simply could NOT pass up, even though the peak power draw of this system is only 850W-ish lol.

Will be air-cooled for the time being while I test it and finish up other stuff, but the stuff for the hardline loop already exists (from my old loop).

HIFIMAN Ananda Planar Magnetic Headphones

Retail Price: $999.00.

Open-Box Purchase: $550 + Free Shipping. 😘👌

An upgrade to my HIFIMAN HE-35X Dynamic Headphones (Retail Price: $120, New Purchase: $55), recommended by Den-Fi! 775941861465391124.gif?v=1 Other options were mentioned as well. The TLDR is I went with this purchase 'cos I was gently shoo'd away from Focal Elear's, I didn't want to gamble on Focal Elex's, I wasn't too keen on Sennheiser HD 660 S's, planar magnetics caught my attention, and, errr... discounts.

To quote one particular dumb-dumb:

I friggity frack feck god damn knew it. 788506153867804732.png?v=1

It me. Impatient dumb-dumb is me. 😔

Impressions coming up in a few days. Want to get used to how they sound, first. 🤔

...Shush, I'm not procrastinating. 😩

In the meantime, have some unboxing pics:

HIFIMAN Ananda Headphones

First impressions last a lifetime. Love it when manufacturers put some thought into the presentation and unboxing process. 🥰

20210119_193959.jpg

HIFIMAN Ananda Headphones

Pair o' big bois, but they feel extraordinarily light on the head. They're seriously lighter than they look.

20210119_195511.jpg

HIFIMAN Ananda Cables - 1.5m Cable w/3.5mm Connector + 3.0m Cable w/6.35mm Connector

My first disappointment.

For once, my phone camera's actually making the product seem more flattering in photo than in person.

I've heard about the HIFIMAN Ananda's cables being shoddy, but I chalked it up to audiophiles being picky and didn't actually expect them to be worse than my HE-35X's default cable.

...Reminder that the Anandas retail for $1K. 748522849928609872.png?v=1

HIFIMAN Ananda Slider

AH-HAH!

There it be -- me looking for those open-box imperfections.

These marks (on both the right and left) are the only flaws I've found thus far, however. Headphones are in good condition. 748523241848438794.png?v=1

I've had a bit of a desire to get an SMB setup for my PS2 working concerning the ability to play games on OPL. So I caved and bought a router at a thrift store for $9: I ended up with this Asus RT-N66R router.

And on another note, I finally caved and bought some leggings... they're rather nice...

Check out my guide on how to scan cover art here!

You can take a look at all of the Tech that I own and have owned over the years in my About Me section and on my Profile.

I'm Swiss and my Mother language is Swiss German of course, I speak the Aargauer dialect. If you want to watch a great video about Swiss German which explains the language and outlines the Basics, then click here.

If I could just play Videogames and consume Cool Content all day long for the rest of my life, then that would be sick.

Haha, yeah. My MBL's are worth £202,000 (277,000 USD) new. I bought them for much less than this though. I'm not a nutter.

LTT's Resident Porsche fanboy and nutjob Audiophile.

Main speaker setup is now;

Mini DSP SHD Studio -> 2x Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC's (fed by AES/EBU, one feeds the left sub and main, the other feeds the right side) -> 2x Neumann KH420 + 2x Neumann KH870

(Having a totally seperate DAC for each channel is game changing for sound quality)
