Post Christmas tight budget here ... how are you guys buying stuff still ?? :P

I'm looking for a GPU (still), but I might buy something new (when shortage stops) instead of a used 1080 like I wanted a few weeks ago!

No shenanigans, but we did send cards and money to relatives instead of gifts :P

Plus we're trying to put some money aside for a house remodeling ... so technically I have money, just not for new shiny things! :(

I might post when I buy paint and lumber at HD ! :D

Bose Sleepbuds 2

The Charging/Docking Case has USB C !

So these are Active Sound Masking In Ears which are purpose built for sleeping and winding down. They can't play music nor any sounds from a video, they only play calming sounds which you can download and customize through the Bose Sleep App. I've just been using normal use once Ear plugs from 3M for years and now I have the perfect final solution to my problem. I've been meaning to get the first gen of these but they had to recall and stop producing them due to Battery problems. Now they are apparently more performamt and efficient thanks to the upgraded Tech inside and the shape of them outside.

You can take a look at all of the Tech that I own and have owned over the years in my About Me section and on my Profile.

I'm Swiss and my Mother language is Swiss German of course, I speak the Aargauer dialect. If you want to watch a great video about Swiss German which explains the language and outlines the Basics, then click here.

If I could just play Videogames and consume Cool Content all day long for the rest of my life, then that would be sick.

Damn that's kinda stupid, I've been looking forever for earbuds that you can actually have on a pillow without destroying your ears and it seems those are made for it, but I'd want them to play music too...

New Pi 4 case.

20210114_165843.thumb.jpg.5dde81800629bc1ad8bc76c0f8c83e52.jpg

Fitment is great however it's not completely aluminum as the product page would suggest.  It does a good job of cooling and it's silent.

I explained the law to Amazon again and got 100 bucks promo credit.  One of their supervisors tried to argue the definition of "expect" against me, but I objected with the Oxford dictionary to another supervisor.   She gave me 100 bucks promo to apologize. So, I got a better webcam and a manga.

Funny that your bring Amazon up. They sent me the wrong length Displayport cable. So now I have to wait till Saturday for them to hopefully send the right one. This would be only the second time they fucked up and sent me the wrong item. Shipping has been all over the place. But thats to be expected, hopefully it gets better this year.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

2-in-1 Keycap Puller & Switch Tester

The switches look like a Gateron Green and a Xinda Blue? Both are clickys. It’s random which ones they send with the Keycap Puller.
Friggin’ KPrepublic sending me cheap-ass (767122981687132230.gif) switches as freebies, I SEE YOUR PLOY.

Long story short, I didn't need 'em, but I got 'em anyway 'cos it brought down the total cost of my order.

I bought this with money I got for Christmas. I wasn't sure if I wanted to spend it all on a new one but I really like it (Pro-Ject Debut Carbon Evo):

If in-game purchases count, this might be one of my more boneheaded ones: 415 Secret Saxtons in Team Fortress 2.

H7rKv.png

It goes from pages 4 to 11 for a full 7 pages, with a little bit extra of them spilling into page 12.

More MonkeyType Merchandise! (Link to Previous MonkeyType Merch)

1 × Typing Monkey Premium Tee (Black)

Got this for the low, low price of free, on top of free shipping! Quite the happy monkey, I am. 788501181335863395.gif

Friendly folks in the MonkeyType Discord server let me know that the print quality of my other black shirt seemed a bit off and suggested I contact Teespring's customer service. Wrote a polite little request to Teespring, and a little over two weeks later, I received a fresh new shirt! 😁

The sad news is that I don't think the print quality improved any, comparing my previous purchase to this new arrival.

The great news is FREE SHIRT! Honestly, I'm not too bothered by the print since it looks absolutely fine from a distance, and who's gonna stare too closely at my nonexistent chest anyways?! 🤣

More Pics!

Spoiler

20201229_200214.jpg20210116_181836.jpg

Print Comparison

Left: Previous Purchase. Right: New Arrival.

Still holey.

Thank you, my crap phone camera, for always highlighting the terrible details in my photos, lol. 😆

20210116_181445.jpg

New Shirt!

'ey, das me.

Flat chest, flat chest.

Also, Plush!Danbo says Hi. What a sweetheart. 🥰

So, total cost of my MonkeyType Merch (3 × Premium Tees + 2 × Long Sleeve Tees) was $120.96. Approximately $24 per shirt?

I said it last time and I'll say it again: definitely not the best bang for your buck, but the purchase helps keep MonkeyType going and improving, if that's your kinda thing.

I got some front brake work done on my Saturn! It did need some, to say the least. Dunno when the last time it was done, but it certainly wasn't with me, so it made sense that I'd take on that responsibility. It's especially a noticeable difference when parking. And because I don't really have a good picture of my car from today, just take one I took about four or five months ago.

H7GV2.jpg

I also got a pillow at Target, one of those cold-feeling ones. It is very nice.
