@Velcade So, all the protein stuff I ordered yesterday arrived today.   I had 2 slim jims, 1 protein bar, and a scoop of the fruity pebbles whey mixed into a cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk.  580 k calories, 59 grams of protein.   My goal for today is to get between 1600 and 1800 k calories as tonight I'm doing cardio on my NordicTrack.   As for flavor I probably should have gotten one that didn't taste so good cuz now I want more.   :/

Appreciate the follow up. I find they mix well with van almond milk too.  I'll have to check out the fruity pepples when I'm finish with this one.

Picked up the most recent order from Amazon, annoyingly, I had to do a pickup at a post office in the province besides mine because Ring doesn't offer monitoring for my province, so Amazon won't ship any Ring alarm items to my address.

So you're gonna use a VPN to go through a City where they offer the real time monitoring feature or how do you plan to set it up ?

You can take a look at all of the Tech that I own and have owned over the years in my About Me section and on my Profile.

I'm Swiss and my Mother language is Swiss German of course, I speak the Aargauer dialect. If you want to watch a great video about Swiss German which explains the language and outlines the Basics, then click here.

If I could just play Videogames and consume Cool Content all day long for the rest of my life, then that would be sick.

No monitoring, the issue with monitoring is language, they don't offer it in French, and seeing as my province is officially French only, them calling emergency services could be an issue.

If we need monitoring, there are companies that offer the service and are compatible with Ring devices.

That is actually surprising that they don't have French phone operators for monitoring, with 77 million French speakers on the planet it would seem like a good language to cover. Heck, even though it's a different batch of operators they do have service in France.

My Current Setup:

AMD Ryzen 5900X

Kingston HyperX Fury 3200mhz 2x16GB

MSI B450 Gaming Plus

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo

EVGA RTX 3060 Ti XC

Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB

WD 5400RPM 2TB

EVGA G3 750W

Corsair Carbide 300R

The G4 cameras are finally out of Early Access.  Picked up 3 of them and 1 pro.  Got a USW-16-POE as well to power them.

@wkdpaul But the Echo Dot will fully work in Québec in French? Will you set it up in English or French? :D

Yeah, it'll work in French, but I set it to English, it's easier for the wife to use (her spoken French isn't that great). I've installed the Ring alarm already and linked it to Alexa, she's now giving out vocal notifications when the front door opens, (and more importantly) when the side door opens ; that one is in the stairs going to the basement and the basement door is always closed because it opens towards the hallway and blocks it, so we never have line of sight to the side door.

Bought the Hobbit in French so I can read it to my 8yo daughter, gotta start her on Tolkien's work early! :D (I could've get it in English, but she struggling in French at school, so we're buying more French books so I can read them with her ;) ).

Yeah, that's usually what other companies do, but seems like they decided to avoid Québec for some reason!?

Since you are apparently a native French speaker and grew up in Québec, how come that your daughter apparently did not learn French right away?

Wife is Chinese, her parents came here when my daughter was born and they helped by babysitting until she was 18 months old (then we sent her to a daycare), so she was mostly speaking / understanding Mandarin and English (my wife and I communicate in English). The private daycare had mostly English speaking staff and clients, so the main language she spoke in the daycare was English.

We transferred her to a French speaking daycare when she was 3, but the "damage" was done, she suffers from the most common issue English speaker have with French : word gender.

We're hoping reading will help.

I recently bought an i7 6700, 16GB DDR4 and a rather shitty mATX-mobo from a prebuilt PC with basically zero configurability in BIOS and a severe lack of PCIe-slots, so I just got myself a better (used) mobo for it:

2015-09-21-product-4.jpg.f9168ea35d0ced176e779d7bc765ed0a.jpg

Cost me 50€, but with the 6700, it'll be a nice upgrade for my server. With this mobo I can even upgrade to a 7700K or something, if I ever stumble upon one on the cheap, so this'll do nicely for several years.
