Original Xbox! I ordered some mediocre Component cables (using cheap multi-console S-Video cables in this picture), hopefully I can do better in the future.

Also yoinked Crazy Taxi 3: High Roller and PGR2 with it.

Emma Mattress (Cold foam, EvoPoreHRC foam, 90 x 200 cm)

IMG20200522110641.thumb.jpg.2e830ce89cf09f35e32020fa3fc833f1.jpg

Having tried and used lots and lots of mattresses throughout my life I'm sure I have found the one that suits me best. And if not I have 100 nights time to test it and see if I like it, if not then I could return it with full money back guarantee. This was 650 CHF afterall.

I have also purchased new bed sheets that'll go along nicely.

As you might recall I've already got the Blackroll recovery pillow which is also made from a similar high quality foam material:

This pillow is the best one I ever had and it fixed my neck strains.

You can take a look at all of the Tech that I own and have owned over the years in my About Me section and on my Profile.

I'm Swiss and my Mother language is Swiss German of course, I speak the Aargauer dialect. If you want to watch a great video about Swiss German which explains the language and outlines the Basics, then click here.

If I could just play Videogames and consume Cool Content all day long for the rest of my life, then that would be sick.

https://www.nikonusa.com/en/nikon-products/product/mirrorless-lenses/nikkor-z-dx-50-250mm-f%2f4.5-6.3-vr.html

Grabbed her one of those for $100 off Nikon Refurb, supposed to be a nice pairing to her kit lens on the Z7. Obviously something nicer would be...nicer but this lens is going to get lugged around to games and pastures and through nature. Some of those are not places you want to take a $2500 lens. Also can't afford to buy her a $2500 lens.

Couple weeks ago got my Sennheiser HD600s and a Fiio AMP/DAC. Serving me well, really enjoying the comfort. There was one day that I had them on for almost 12hrs minus bio-breaks.

Finally got a Frame for the Masterpiece from dbrand ! It's the Umbra Axis Single (21 x 24 cm)

IMG20200525174914.thumb.jpg.822050d949bbb110cc0e66bbf848a1ff.jpg

IMG20200525180121.thumb.jpg.3a4c9920e2a507ff0f2277c2661f83fa.jpg

IMG20200525180618.thumb.jpg.a7dc0d134931bcfca72dc445ef88968b.jpg

The hinge on the frame is similar to the one on a Surface Pro, you can adjust it into any "stop" position in the 360 degree radius because the hinge goes around the frame and allows you to either prop it up like this on a table/bookshelf/nightstand or hang it on the wall.

The Roku Premier I purchased a few months ago (if I even mentioned that purchase here) started acting like ass so I decided to get a fire TV stick to see if that worked any better and if it does, my next major TV purchase is more then likely to have it baked in.

I have an Athlon x4 870k system that has a super old and decrepit 120gb Patriot Blaze SSD in it that's been used in several machines over the last 5 years, so I thought it's time to replace the drive. Looking on Amazon I found an NVMe 128gb ADATA drive for $29 brand new. This motherboard only supports Gen2x4 speeds, but it will be faster than I'll need for a boot drive.

We'll see how good it is, and also what I'll need to do to get Windows 10 installed. I'm assuming the UEFI boot manager should sort out using an NVMe drive instead of a SATA one to install Windows, or is that foolish?

My Current Setup:

AMD Ryzen 5900X

Kingston HyperX Fury 3200mhz 2x16GB

MSI B450 Gaming Plus

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo

EVGA RTX 3060 Ti XC

Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB

WD 5400RPM 2TB

EVGA G3 750W

Corsair Carbide 300R

Arctic Fans 140mm x4 120mm x 1

Oh man, FM2+ Athlon, haven’t seen one in about four years. Had an AM4 pre-Ryzen Athlon and that shit sucked for Team Fortress 2.

When I installed Windows 10 on my NVMe drive, it was straight plug and play. If it makes you feel more confident, just unplug every storage drive that isn’t the NVMe drive when installing it.

The 870k is underwhelming, but still alright for normal stuff. The board I have is pretty good, an asrock with an A88X chipset, I also have 16gb of 2133mhz ram installed on it. I never played TF2 on it, but it did see some Fallout 4 and it wasn’t that great of an experience with the 750 ti that’s installed in there.

New AMD athlon up and running. Long live team red

I love my 2700X even though it's way more than I need (yay new product launches and discounts), but the most impressive thing about AMD right now is just how much value something like the 3000G is.

Yeah, I used an Athlon X4 950 and underwhelming is about as charitable as I can be to it. Couldn't do shit in PCSX2 without major slowdown (by that, I mean my laptop handles Gran Turismo 3 in PCSX2 far better than the Athlon 950 did), really sucked in TF2, but it was okay in general web browsing.

I think this'll end up as a storage server for photos, with maybe FTP or VPN running on it for access when I'm not at home. I lost thousands of photos several years back so this setup will probably have a few 2-3 terabyte spinning drives in RAID 1 for redundancy, and I have an external drive that I can backup to that's stored in a fireproof safe when not in use.

So this is my latest purchase, as long as you dont count a bag of Golden Island Korean BBQ Recipe Pork Jerky from Costco.

Oh, it is a 2020 Mazda CX-5 GS AWD.  The first new car I have ever owned.  I am already madly in love with Apple Car Play.
