welp, let's just say I didn't get the other Replay Theater demo

EZ50l.png

I bid up to 1400 yen on it while someone decided that 8900 yen was a more appropriate price.

Makes me feel slightly better that I paid only $33.89 for the other Replay Theater demo.

Check out my guide on how to scan cover art here!

Nice headphones! What amp are you using? It looks more like an AVR (audio Video Receiver) used in home theater setups?

Sony NEX-3 camera, it came with some accessories including a shotgun mic that I sold. So the camera ended costing half of what I paid, quite a bargain. It's a older camera but still quite nice for a compact mirrorless and has some great features of a pro camera.

Got a 10 gallon fish tank in early december. Got its Nitrogen cycle started with media and some water from my other tank. Recently started planting it and added some fish and shrimp in there. Added Lava Rock and a decoration. There is a Marimo moss ball hiding behind the lava rock on the right hand side to give the shrimp a hiding/eating place. There is currently 7 fish in there plus 3 shrimp (there were 4 but one died by getting caught in the filter ?). I will be getting some smaller plants in a month or so and planting them during the next water change.

Do you have plans to mount old rangefinder, and other film era optics to this camera?

My old headphones recently started to tear my ears up, and despite my usual efforts, nothing seemed to solve the problem. They were on-ear headphones (marshall monitors), but honestly, quite comfortable at first. But in the last month or so, they started tearing away at my ears, no amount of adjustments were doing anything and some new pads didn't help either so I just decided to get some AKG K92's to tide me over to a planned upgrade (probably some Beyer DT1770s)

Pretty decent headphones for the price in all honesty, though sound wise, it almost feels as if something is missing sometimes, and I just can't put my finger on what it is.

Maybe some older lenses if I can get them for cheap. Camera gear is very expensive!

A few things I picked up or have picked up over the last several weeks:

  • A MNML case for my phone. Pricey, but I had one of those clear soft silicone cases and I wasn't really digging it and I don't like to make my phone fatter than it needs to be.
  • An Anker 4-port USB travel charger. I have two port one, but the AC prongs don't have any tension for some reason.
  • A Nintendo Switch charging stand. Sometimes I just want to play my Switch on a surface, but I don't want to play it on a big screen. It might even double as a phone charging stand too

FYI, I have a 7970 that died last year (bought that one for $40 CAD over 2 years ago knowing it had issues), I was able to use the 7970 for a while by flashing a modded BIOS with looser RAM timing and lower frequencies, but after a year, it really died (on screen artifacts, then the system started to be unusable because of "system interupts" taking 100% of the CPU, and then it straight up BSOD'd no matter what I tried).

So the cooler on that dead Power Color 7970 is going to be modded to go on the 290x ! :D

So the 290x will look like this when I'm done with it (not my 7970, it's a picture scrapped off Google) ;

Don't forget to slap some decent heatsinks onto the VRMs!

Had two 290Xes, one cooled by by a H75 and one was cooled by the accelero 3. Ended up slapping gelid's 290(X) VRM heatsinks (the one that uses screws and a thermal pad), which dropped VRM temps from 90-95C using adhesive heatsinks (stock, underload) to less than 65C@stock and sub 80C@1200MHz core :)

Kinda funny how I went from dual 290Xes to a 6-pin RX470 (consistently throttled due to power limits) to what I have now, a Fury... ?

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...
