I may or may not have just impulse bought a VHS tape on eBay that I've never seen before.

I'll give ya a hint: if you've heard of Tales from the Whoop, you're headed in the right direction. More details coming soon.

I couldn't help myself, it's a super long weekend here in my neck of the woods (though it doesn't affect me as I'm retired) and I've decided to buy this game though I'd thought I'd wait a little....

Just realized that this is a gaming laptop that isn't all gawdy. The 2010 Audi RS6 of laptops might be the best way to put it. I like it.

A local PepBoys is going out of business so I picked up a spray bottle of Rain-X (I didn't realize I was out of it) for $4.50, normally $8. I got a bottle of Mothers CMX "ceramic" spray coating for 25% off online from Pepboys with in-store pickup for $15. I'm going to try it out on the cars but first I'm going to give it a swirl in my toilet to see if it's really all that durable, if it can stand up in a toilet it'll last on a car!

Cool! I love NUCs but swap out that SSD or use it just for the OS or sequential IOPS and not for storage or serious work, otherwise you will end up burning that unit very quickly.

I don't even know what I'm doing with this NUC. Maybe I'll put it to download porn hentai 24/7.

Welp, had to grab a new power conditioner for my Hi-fi setup, my amp's were drawing to much power for my old one to handle. (we're talking 4800 watts a piece, so nearly 10kW on just the amp's alone) It only has 4 outputs, so using it for the amp's and my pre-amp and phono pre-amp, but will be putting them on my old power conditioner along with the rest of the system if i get a pair of active speakers, wink wink ;)

Main speaker setup is now;

Mini DSP SHD Studio -> 2x Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC's (fed by AES/EBU, one feeds the left sub and main, the other feeds the right side) -> 2x Neumann KH420 + 2x Neumann KH870

(Having a totally seperate DAC for each channel is game changing for sound quality)

Not a purchase, but a pickup. Bose QuietComfort 35 IIs.

I live across from a construction site and after drilling under my window at midnight, they gave me these babies as a "PR gift".

Nice bribe, but I'm still not happy about the construction :)

Aren't these like 300 bucks? I still think this is a win/win situation.

CPU: 65°C - All cores synced to 4.1GHz turbo

GPU: 84°C - nVidia's "max", so the ~1910MHz initial boost falls back to the Zotac default clocks 1620MHz, but stays there and not throttles.
